J.D. Ramirez rode into town and scored his biggest of the year to date at the Atlanta Open. Although Pro Open, Pro Women, and Masters divisions were won by people outside the state of Georgia, the Amateurs division were all won by locals. Congrats to Brian Ling, Melanie Hughes, Jason Dowling & Andrew Lofstrand for their wins.

Rand Eberhard became the Georgia State Representative for the 2007 United States Disc Golf Championships after winning the qualifying event held at Sandy Creek Park. Rand won on the second hole of a sudden death playoff. Round scores were 55/57 for a total of 112. Congratulations Rand!

Hotlanta this year will be held at both Redan and Lenora Parks. The event in scheduled to take place July 21 & 22 and will be a "B"-Tier event. Check both the Disc-cussion board and the PDGA sites for more details.

Rand Eberhard wins the 6th Annual Georgia State Championships with a final score of 190 (-26 to par) that were held at Rose Lane Park in Toccoa, GA. The first and second rounds for Rand saw him at probably his best shooting eleven under par of both rounds. Jack Nye of Hixson, Tennessee did try and give Rand run for first place by shooting a course record of 59 (13 under par) but had to settle for a tie for second with previous Toccoa winner, Jason "Vach" Makarovich. Other Pro division winners include Woody Blackwell (Masters) and Dan Thessen (Grandmasters).
