crazy as it seems, chuk's name came up in conversation during an underground group round at yargo yesterday.
we all came to the conclusion that these eastern north georgia courses would not even be available, or have an idea seed for additional courses planted within the parks and rec departments decision-makers, unless it was for chuk's efforts.
they may be right, they may be wrong, they may be neutral, but they were ACTIONS taken on behalf of furthering the sport's participation in an area in which he resides. gotta' start in your own back yard.
odd how much interest has been generated in atlanta by a guy that lives in winder, ga. that's not atlanta territory, so who cares?
mind your own territory beeswax, snotbrains!
looking at the big picture, i have an idea that chuk's approach was fully intentional, and further, has generated the kind of response he wanted.
ha-ha. he's a smart guy. fooled a bunch of us, me included.
i was thinking yesterday about how i communicate to get my points across sometimes.
i thought about bush's (and cheny's) "shock and awe" approach to stirring up thought in iran.
hit 'em hard, right upside the head with a two-by-four to get their attention.
then introduce topics for discussion. doesn't matter if some are unwilling to even listen to the proposed topics. many will, and that's all that matters. they are the activists or advocates for the cause, not the powers-that-be.
those are the important members to meet and stategerize (thank you prez dubya) with.
create a faction of non-factionists and you have a political movement.
the people now have more choices to choose from and that is good.
the rulers of the faction will now have to listen to the tribes of non-factionists, because their future success depends on it.
so, yeah, i'm planning on playing it, if i can craftily misguide and/or mislead a perk ho into accompanying me.
obviously, they can't be bought, so i'll be forced to try a subversive, covert approach.
they won't know what hit 'em!
