New to Atlanta need easy course to play

Postby JonathanFreeman » Sat Aug 03, 2013 9:52 am

Hey everyone. I am located in buckhead. I have some friends wanting to try disc golf for the first time. Whats an easy 18 hole course to take them to. Thanks!

Chamblee united Methodist church on Chamblee Tucker isn't that far from Buckhead and has 9 holes with 2 sets of tee pads. Not difficult. Google it for location.

I would also recommend Oregon Park. They have a silver teepad to silver basket layout that is fairly beginner friendly. Also go see Bob at Disc Caddie Golf in Marietta Square for good deals on golf discs and not so good deals on Dale Murphy rookie cards.

I'm also new to disc golf and also located in Buckhead. I found the Methodist church to be pretty fun, let me know if you'd like to practice together sometime.

Check out Frog Rock in Austell. It's only 9 holes right now, but has two sets of teepads, one of which is geared at beginners. It's nearly flat, shady and has no rough. It's a straight shot out I-20 west and is one of the nearer courses to downtown ATL.

If you go, strong bug spray is essential.
