Winter Break Local Action

Postby Jsims12 » Fri Dec 16, 2011 9:47 pm

I am in town for winter break from school until January 8th. Is the local action listed on the site currently still going on? Or is everything dead? Anything specifically? Thanks.

a little lax on board updates in december...

Alexander park, Saturday morning - always good turnout, 9:45 and don't be late
Redan, Sunday morning Pnuts 10am - attendance varies, low buy-in, overall best course in town
Central Park, Sunday 1pm - ditto, mostly
McCurry Park, Sunday - http://www.discgolfatlanta.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=3392

I'll get to the front page soon. TD's, if you want the 2012 tourney listing to link directly to your tourney thread - start a tourney thread

Awesome, thanks for the response! I played Redan SunDubs a few times when I was living in ATL a few years ago, I would love to see some of those guys again. Also, is the first Sunday of the month at Deerlick going to run on the 1st?

I'm really bummed I wasn't able to make it to any of these. I'll be trying again next couple weekends. Probably going to hit up McCurry park. Haven't played there before, I'll be looking to see if it is Sat or Sun these next few weeks. Thanks guys.

There is random draw doubles action at Oregon Park every Tuesday and Thursday year 'round. This time of year, standard time, it is glow doubles starting at 6:30pm.

FWIW, Tuesday's (during standard time) are actually glow singles and it's a handicap league so your first visit will be an "establish your handicap" round. Although I have played with Mr. Sims a few times and know that he would probably do fine even without a handicap.

Should I play Alexander dubs or J.P. Moseley on Saturday the 31st?
