GD (Goodtimes Director): Jay Voss

172nd Infantry Brigade - Bring health & comfort items off the list that I have posted in this thread (or $5 donation) and you will be entered into the 172nd Infantry Brigade CTP contest after round 2 (Don't confuse this action with the additional Cash Buy CTP's that are offered. Please support this cause as our Soldiers need all the comfort they can get! - This year instead of collecting Toys for Tots I'm collecting Health & Comfort items for The 172nd Infantry Brigade. My son Adam Ryan is currently serving with them in Afghanistan and they have already lost 5 outstanding members:

ACTION:

Also - If you buy in on all five of the below CTP's you will be entered into our annual CTP throw off after round two for mystery cash and prizes! You will get 1 throw to try and win!

U.S. Army 172nd Infantry Brigade CTP's: $$ raised will go toward buying electric blankets for the soldiers: Five $1 buyin CTPs (1, 4, 7, 8, 9).

This means that you can have two throws for The Cold Snake Classic Annual CTP Throw off!!!

Additional throws can be purchased for $5 but must be purchased by before we start. Why would you to buy additional throws? Because I am donating something very special this year!

Check in will be at the concession stand as always.

Your on your own for lunch this year, but you have plenty of choices to eat 1-2 miles away.

ACTION:

U.S. Army 172nd Infantry Brigade Drive: If you donate health and comfort items or donate $5 at check-in you will be entered into our annual CTP throw off after round two to win mystery cash and prizes! You will get 2 throws to try and win! Throw off will be from 13 to old 17 basket area (right side of road by ball field scoreboard).

U.S. Army 172nd Infantry Brigade CTP's: $$ raised will go toward buying electric blankets for the soldiers: Five $1 buyin CTPs.

CASH CTP's: Three cash CTPs and $2 Ace Fund

Free divisional CTP's, Free Longest putt (one for Ams & one for Pros), one ALL free ctp as well!

Okay so I'm ready to start working posting the results of all the scores, but first I need to let everyone know just how much money we raised for the U.S. Army's 172nd Infantry Brigade during our Disc Golf Tournament today! Wanna see what $915 Donated dollars looks like?

Image

Cool part of this picture is that when I went to put the money back in the bag, there was a fifty spot in the bag that I didn't see, thus going from $865 to $915......it just keeps on getting better!

I just can't begin to tell you just how proud I am for everyone that attended and donated to the cause! The money just continued to be donated all day and even as players were leaving.....So many to thank but I do want to praise Steve Adams for nailing an Ace on his second hole of the tournament and donating the $110 he won right back to our adopted unit in Afghanistan. Also Props to to Keith who put up some additional swag and raised over $200 with that as well and all the sponsors and helpers that donated swag and time! Time to spend some time with Lady Di as she has not seen me much the last couple of days!

Great Job Jay & Snake Staff. Kudo's to the Animal & Jay, and any others who had the course looking sweet.

Finally got to Skype with Adam Ryan yesterday! They have arrived at their new Combat Operation Post after a 5 day convoy. He said they are out of everything because they had to leave some stuff behind! So our donations will be very timely.....Thanks again all. Below is a pic of some of the donations.....filling boxes now!

Hi all,

I thought I would pass some news about the 172nd Infantry Brigade that we raised money for during our tournament. They are due to return to Germany during June 2012.

So far they have had 10 Soldiers Killed In Action, please take a moment to Honer these Soldiers:

Sgt Matthew Allen Harmon, St Paul, MN, 01 Mar 1982 - 14 Aug 2011
Cpl Joseph Vandruemel, Grand Rapids, MI, 21 Sep 1978 - 14 Aug 2011
SSG Daniel A. Quintana, , 22 Apr 1981 - 10 Sep 2011
Chief Petty Officer Raymond J. Border, Gulfport, MS, 22 Jul 1980 - 19 Oct 2011
SSG Jorge Miguel Oliveira, Newark, NJ, 22 Jan 1978 - 19 Oct 2011
SPC Keith D. Benson, 14 Aug 1984 - 18 Jan 2012
SSG Jerry Reed, 9 Jan 1982 - 16 Feb 2012
SPC Daquane D. Rivers, 19 Nov 1990 - 14 Mar 2012
SSG William R. Wilson III, Getzville, NY, 28 Feb 1985 - 26 Mar 2012
SPC Manuel J. Vasquez, Sacramento, Ca, 3 Jul 1989 - 24 Apr 24 2012

For those that don't know:

I'm sending multiple Prayers out to our Son Adam Ryan and his battle mates: Proctor, Danielson, and Walker!!! They were the seventh truck in and eight truck convoy which was hit with an RPG. All 4 took shrapnel and got concussions but all are alive and resting. Dianne and I got to speak with Adam Ryan Thursday morning after getting calls just after midnight from the Army. He is happy to be alive but is hurting too. Praise goes out to the medics and surgeons of the U.S. Army for taking care of our young men!

Thanks so much for the support of our our troops during the Lake Russell Open and the Cold Snake Classic!
