Gwinnett course updates

Postby Corndawg13 » Mon Sep 12, 2011 10:18 am

I now live in Suwanee and am curious to know what the state of disc golf in Gwinnett is. There were rumors of new courses, I have not played the modified Lenora yet. Are any changes to Alex in the consideration, IE a few pro pads to add distance and/or difficulty?

I'm just curious.

There won't be any new GCPR courses for the foreseeable future as budgets are frozen, but we do have 2 GDGO members on the Harbins Park Steering Committee. A course is planned there, but there is no starting date, so it's years away.

Alexander is getting new pin positions on 5, 12 and 13 by the end of the year.

No new pads are in plan for any park. Not for lack of desire, but GCPR has firm restrictions preventing it for the time being.

Thanks Gerrit for that. I am ALWAYS willing to help out. Let me know what is needed. I just think there is potential for some new pads at Alex on a few holes to give it a longer/tougher option for play. Alex is a very good course, but living and playing at Central Park all that time makes me think about that "what if's" so to speak.

Nice to know that you are in Gwinnett now Bobby. I saw you at Alex the other day. There is usually a group of guys around 530 that play almost every day. Sometimes we play dubs and what not.

I saw you guys. I work in Lawrenceville until 5 every week day. I may go out there today.
