"Friends of Oregon Park" tournament: August 13

The Cobb Disc Golf Club is planning a Friends of Oregon Park tournament on August 13. This will be our first big event at the newly designed course.

Sign in will last from 8-8:45am, with a players meeting at 9am. Tee off will start at 9:30 Registration will be available on the club's website, at the Disccaddie store on the Marietta Square, and in person at our weekly events. $20.00 registration includes lunch a la John Inman, and a mini disc. More information will follow from our TD.

Will the FoOP tourney have those sweet cryztal z buzzz fundraiser disc's again?

No sweet cryztal buzzzzzzzz's this year as Discraft is currently out of them and our goal is to put as much $ towards concrete tee pads with this event.

Come support the new course and the club as this tournament will help to both support the work that has been done to this point as well as the concrete tee pads which is our next project.

Sorry, no $ to be had as a payout as it's a fundraiser for the course. We've raised nearly $10,000 however, we still need to raise $ for the concrete tee pads. Hopefully $20 is worth two rounds and a free lunch to help out a local course...

The CDGC fundraiser is this Saturday!

This event will help us to complete the newly designed course with concrete tee pads and eventually new baskets (silver baskets). We have already raised and spent over $10,000 and would like to complete the course as soon as possible. With the last few hole sponsorships still available and events like this we should be able to raise the additional funds this year!

$20 gets you 2 rounds AND A FREE BBQ LUNCH!!!

Thanks to all for their participation both on the course and at the silent auction table today! With a decent breeze and 16 of the 18 tee pads in the shade it wasn't a bad summer day (compared to several these past few weeks)! We do not have any finally tally as of yet but, the club will certainly "net" $700+ ($200+ from auction items) from a 35 person turn-out

These funds will go toward the concrete tee pads which is the next OP project. Details and request for help on this project to come next week in a new thread...
