players pack = Jackson Lake between/after rounds. Also, players pack includes a reduced tick population.

The last tournament in the winter had 22 teams. That was our best attendance yet. Though I'd like to break it, not many folks are signing up early, so we might not be breaking the record-----but usually we do get at least 15 teams.

And sorry the course was in such a mess this weekend---we are working on getting it cleaned up, so if you come to play it, please be patient!

FYI, the holes that will NOT be in the tournament that are in the layout right now:

CURRENT 9, 11, 12, 13 (the last hole in the woods)

CURRENT 14, 15, 16, 17 (the open holes minus the trailer hole)

NEW HOLES FOR THE TOURNAMENT: 6, 7, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16 (to old 12 basket from a new fairway)

OLD HOLES "REFURBISHED" FOR THE TOURNAMENT: THE OLD WOODPILE HOLE!

Alright, future and past attendees, the Monty needs you more than ever. We need turnout. Let me know you're alive, thinking about coming, etc. Right now I have only 2 teams, and one of them I'm on. SIGN UP FOLKS! Got a fun new layout, shaded (mostly) in the woods.

All the baskets are in the woods now except number 14, which got stuck in its pin (rusted?).

Also, the trailer hole is number 18 in this layout, and the only hole not in the woods.

Try using "PB Blaster" on the rusted basket. You should be able to spray it and let it sit for a few minutes and it should break free.
Use the "force" only for good, never for evil

7 teams that I'm sure of now, though I've heard rumor of 2-3 more lurking out there.

Yesterday I got the last basket in place, so the Monty IX layout is now in place. Some of the holes are rough; I haven't installed tee signs on #'s 15, 16, 17; Tee markers are in place, but on 6, 7, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, the tees haven't been played on yet, just cleaned up; debris is still down on several holes, but it's the worst on 13, 14, and 16 near the pin; mowing needs to occur, or at least the clipping of growth, on 5, 6, 7, 12, 18.

Overall, it's improving weekly.

I am not sure Chilly really qualifies as a "passionate" golfer - more of a wreckless flirtation that you might jump into because it is closing time and you do not want to go home alone...

And Dan was the #2 work guy getting the course ready, so he will have a sweet glow around him when he gets on the course. Nothing gay meant by that; the zone takes care of its own.

Very glad you're in Dan! 23 TEAMS.

I mowed yesterday. Considering that cleanup started with the place in total chaos, I'm very happy that mowing was an option yesterday. IN places the course is still a little rough, but not bad. Overall, it's tournament ready.

Carlos and Dan are:

Spanish Fly.

We don't need the formalities of a word such as 'team' because we obviously got game.

What he said for sure. If I didn't have help from folks, I'd never get tournaments done. Even though the flyer said that I'm the TD, that work was shared by Me, Brian, Barry, and yep, you too, Grease, you sexy beast.

Skip ace off the top----it hasn't been done yet but very close. THat is the most aced hole; five or six now. I took that route in the tournament and my group both times thought I was crazy, but it really is the best route to get you there without getting bogged down in the grass.
