If you want physical fitness and health, try White Oak. It makes most other courses feel like a walk in the park.

Just as FYI, this is not in support of anything at OP, however you would be supporting the Georgia Games program.

Question...

what is the differing format being that it's an "X" tier event?
And will ratings be given?

I talked with him today and asked if it was ok since PRO wasn't offered, and that it's an XC Event with no cash payout if we could run side action (like we do at Perkerson Fundraisers) and he said it was ok with him - so I'm game if anyone else wants to put up 10-20+ a head.

I'm bringing my scoreboard and offered to help him out with check-in and setting up scorecards - but I'm hoping since he's allowing day of signup, that it doesn't end up the c/f that Dogfest did with 3 people going nuts signing people up 15 minutes after check-in closed because 1/2 the field showed up day of and 1/2 of those 15 minutes before check-in closed.

Oregon Park has LOTS of players and I can envision where they all show up at 8:55 SAT morning wanting to signup.

Unfortunately I would not be worried about that. So few are interested in tournaments. I would be more concerned with the kids that will try to play during the tourney.

Since this is a sanctioned tournament, why is it squeezed underneath all of the GSSS info? Just asking.....

Because he didn't sanction it until this week, and I didn't think about it, but since I made the first post, I guess I'll have to be the one to sticky it.

Why did you remove yours (PRIMO PLASTIC) from sticky after I stickied it when you sanctioned yours?

That's the interesting thing since this was rushed together within the last month and sanctioned within the last week - what will be the turnout? - It seems most of the OP crew will not be there and as Bob mentions - not many play Events, but they do support OP, and the Evnets held there in the past seemed to always have a decent turnout, so it will be a crap shoot that will get answered Sat morning I guess.

Am I to assume that this will be normal times (8-9 am sign in,9:30 am players meeting, 10 am start) with tourney central being on the new side of the park? 2 rounds? Sorry if I missed it, but I did scroll up to check and haven't actually checked the official Georgia Games website. That information could be beneficial to those like myself who are too lazy to check the other sight and usually just frequent this sight for tourney info/stalking. I plan on being there and will be more than willing to help with sign up or whatever.

No. I had a friend come in from California and he wanted to play and wasnt going to jump into a tournament. Dont get too many options to pick up a round with him so did that instead. Also it really wasnt clear there was going to be an open division until kind of late.
