I love Yargo, we played it on Sunday and it is a lot of fun to play in the Winter, when the bugs are gone and the leaves are off the trees.

I have updated the tournament information thread at the top of this post to include the facts of the Temp. The Temp course has been finalized and will be located at Appalachee High School. This will have some great elevation shots. It will give some great variety to this throwdown.
Please help spread the word and lets get signed up.

CALLING ALL DISC GOLFERS!! There is less than a month left before this fundraiser tourney kicks off and registration is slim at this point. I'm throwing my hat in the ring and I would like to rally enough players from all divisions to make this tourney a success. Who's in?

Play disc golf and get to contribute to a great cause - if you guys haven't signed up yet for the BHTD, do it soon. It's a for a great, local charity and needs your support!!!! Just updated the sign up page, and want to thank everyone for helping get the word out.
I may be able to set up the temp course on the Sunday before the tournament. It being at a local high school. We are unable to set the baskets up and leave them up.
Would anyone be interested in playing a doubles round on that Sunday?

I heard good things about Yargo when it first opened. Now Tim is opening some fairways more and making it better. Support Tim next weekend as he's done lots of work at Yargo as well as gotten other courses installed.
Fart, it's never not funny!

It is going to be a great course for distance , precision, bag throwing, , elevation ups and downs  . Drink plenty of water and get ready for a challenge.

Here's the hopefully final map of the Temp Course at Apalachee High School.

We moved the pin on #6 out of jail and into the open. It's no longer a double dog-leg (don't think this means it's any easier).
We reran the distance numbers on #6 and is now correctly listed at 221' disc flight instead of 161' crow flies (Thanks Rich).
We updated the overall map to reflect the pin position changes that Tim made last week (#3, #12, #13, #15, #17)

There is also now a stark raving mad Blind Hog under the bridge on #4. So don't hit the three trees on the far side of the bridge and wake him up.

Played the Dubs at Apalachee Saturday... and it's a doozy!

Really varied course requiring virtually every shot you have in your bag...
Lots of long open holes, yet you can't just wing it and expect to be in bounds.
The wooded section is tough! It's narrow, and because of it being a temp course, going off the fairway nearly always puts you in jail.
#6 is a perfect example... 161feet, but it's narrow, canopied, and is a double dog leg...(don't let that map fool you)...I doubt seriously any 2's will be recorded on that hole. (my partner and I managed a 6... and the other team in our group scrambled for their 3)

Great deal of elevation changes, make things very interesting on the back 9...
And make sure your putting is on point... the temp baskets aren't very forgiving.

If I had to call any hole the "signature" hole it'd be 16. Long 500+ drive down from the highest tee on the course, across two roads to a hidden pin.

Great great course, If you can I highly recommend playing this tournament...
And definitely load up on the water, because its a long course with only 4 holes under shade...

QUESTION??
Are age protected divisions being offered? I see it on the signup page but that is just the PDGA's standard page. I don't see any master or grandmaster divisions on the current reg. list. Is it that nobody has signed up or is it not offered?

Thanks

Okay here we go.
Tournament countdown is upon us.
Thanks everyone for checking out temp course on saturday. Rich thanks for the good word on the course. We will be changing hole 6, taking out the last dog leg. It will still be a tuff hole.

As far as age protected divisions. Yes we are offering them, as of now no one requested them. The standard answer is, it takes 3 for the division to make. So encourage folks you know to get on the list.

On line sign up ends on thursday night at 8
Please help out by getting early.
We will close walk up registration by nine on sat. Morning

Dubbs will be held at 6:15 friday night @ yargo for those interested. Who is in?

nice, dubs at the fort! $5? The temp course was really fun and i was challenged on just about every hole. Quite a few blind shots, but it wouldn't be blind hog throw down without them.

I noticed that the ratings are the same for the PRO/ADV as the INT and below the first round...since we played different tees there should be different ratings for the 2 groups who played different tees.

When your uploading the scores it gives you the option to insert the course layout code, you have to put in that the Int and below played a different course to make the ratings accurate for everyone, also on your Electronic TD report on the Event Layout page You will put an "A" in the divisions Open & Adv and a "B" in all the divisions that played the shorter tees round 1...I believe that everyone played the same tees the 2nd round so all divisions will have "A" in their slot.

Good job with the event, it was a good time!

K-Mack - Randy , thanks for everything.

Next year I will improve the design to include three sets of tee pads. There is plenty of room out there to expand, without making it crazy.
Throw well

Wasn't sure which divisions played the short tees on the 1st course but to make the ratings accurate for everyone both course layouts should be used so everyone gets rated correctly.

I'm gonna have to do some recruiting to make sure we have a larger Pro field next year
