Anyone have a portable for sale?

Postby Bornabuckeye » Sat Apr 09, 2011 11:28 pm

Looking to buy a portable basket for around the new apartment. There are some really nice trees and it will give me something to do while I take Victoria to the park. Prefer a used MachLite, Traveler, or M-14. Please PM if you think you can assist.

Thanks,

Donnie,
Stay away from the M-14 or In-Step metal baskets no matter how good a deal it seems. They are garbage. The chain gauge and general
frame gauge on both is real weak and everyone that I know who has bought one either hates it, or has added more chains and still hates it.

As for fold up portables, from best to worst I would go with the DGA Mach Lite, Skillshot, then Traveler. The DGA Mach Lite has more of
a true target area with squared catch basin for a more realistic representation of a regulation metal basket. The Skillshot has a more condensed target
area and the skin covering the catch basin rolls over the top allowing for non realistic roll/skip ins. The Traveler is square, and although it
catches okay, is still completely wrong and doesn't really represent or imitate a real basket very well imho.

Granted, people have used everything from tires to tree stump to aim at for practice. I'm just giving a short consumer report on retail baskets based
on my and friends' experience.
Fart, it's never not funny!

I like my M-14. It produces a lot of cut throughs but I know if my putt catches on a M-14 it would catch on just about anything. It's rusty and doesn't catch very well, but it does do the job for practice.

I'd still rather have a DB-5 or other portable DGA though...

I didn't mean to insult anyone by any means, just giving my honest opinion. Love you Daniel!

If you need any advice on portable all metal baskets, let me know.

I have a Discatcher Sport and 2 Traveller baskets - all brand new and in the boxes that are available for the right price if you are interested.

I can bring to Mose on SAT or F/B on Sunday if you want one.

Since I'm only playing at Mosely on SAT and Flyboy on Sunday - it would HAVE to be SAT - look at your messages!

Update to the Saga - lol

I got a 4gb Xbox 360 slim model, the kinect ready version, for fathers day. Was going to put it in another room but before i open it up... figured I'd see if anyone had a basket they would like to trade for it. Really would like a DGA Mach Lite or an all metal one. Depending on the value... disc's could be added if the basket isnt quite there.

Text me 404-304-8777 will sell for 175 if youre wondering.
