New teepads at "The Herm"

Postby MrFixIt » Fri Apr 08, 2011 6:55 am

We are in the proccess of installing 8 of the grid style teepads. Yesterday #1, #10, #12, and #15 were completed. We will work on 4 more next week, weather permitting.
Feedback on the pads would be greatly appreciated, as this will determine the installation for the remaining tees.
Thanks!

The pads felt good to me. I'd like it if they were a little longer, but that's not a major concern at all I just start my run-up behind the pad. And once the gravel/sand compacts behind the pad from people standing on it and maybe some rain I think they'll be pretty nice. Much better than the natural tees out there now.

I played the Herm yesterday and enjoyed the new type of teepads. Well done! Sure would be nice if #9 got one of the new teepads or at least the roots cut out of the way.

#2 and #9 have super-sized teepads installed!
These will be a test for teepad construction that will eventually happen ( ) across the street at Veteran's Park.

We played here yesterday and enjoyed these new grid pads immensely.

Only complaint is they need to be "topped off" because Christy's shoe kept catching at the end of her pivot.

Can I ask what the cost is? I love the modular nature of them because you don't always need a big pad...especially at the Herm.

They are due some maintenance.
What w/ the end of season games and additions of cancelled games, the guys have been busy.
We'll get to it ASAP.
As far as cost, the grids were @ $5 each (if I remember correctly :? ) and I don't remeber the cost for a load of the granite dust.

Thanks for the feedback, Bill!
