Rules Sign @ JP Moseley

The rules sign at the front of the course is starting to look pretty shabby. I was wondering if I could make a new sign for it and replace it the next time i go up there. I work at a sign shop and have all necessary materials to make a sign the same size as the current one except i would use a different material for durability and longevity. Free of charge.

I actually think we should move the rules and Info board. Especially since we added the gold tee. If Not moved then turn the Info board around so that errant thrown disc's arent smacking into the plexi glass and breaking it. Steve smashed the hell out of it the other day top right corner. Just a thought. Id even do it myself if there arent any objections from anyone.

I like the idea of moving it but only if we cut put some large leyland cypresses there or a big bushy bush (like the one at the short pin on #15) in its spot. You have to admit it helps define the shot there...but I agree I'd prefer the kiosk and rules sign maybe on the side of the hill maybe midway up towards the parking lot...or maybe to the left of the utility shed. Got a large bushy bush in your yard that we could move? Or know of any near the course that is say free?

I meant ot post before - I made the trek down from Forsyth County and had a really good time playing the course. You guys have done a great job of maintaining it. I have 2 questions about the rules. Is the creek behind 14 (I think - the long one that plays with the fence along the right) OB? And I thought I saw someone post that the dirt area on the right of 18 is OB too?

My only suggestions for the whole course are the two little sapplings in front of 5's basket should go and the cedar/leyland cypress on 15 (par 4 dogleg left to the open field) should go too (those other little trees around it should grow keeping the hoel tough but FAIR and more aesthetically pleasing) .

It is a really fun track - I like the mix of holes very much. The long holes have a lot of placement needed to do well and the short ones take some touch.

No Joke On hole nine He threw a disc that flew -250 ft or so shit went right and went back way back. Never had I seen a disc go so far the opposite direction thrown.

What about the one on hole 14 about 50-60 ft from the basket to the right? Its a perfect candidate and its already on site.

You are OB if you are surrounded by water in any of the creeks that make their way throughout the course.
The walking paths play as creeks. Completely surrounded by asphalt is OB.
Hole 1 - Path on right and beyond is OB
Hole 8 - Frog Pond #1 (marked by rocks) is OB -- *Hole 9 – Mando right of sign in fairway - Frog Pond #2 (marked by rocks) is OB
Holes 8 & 9- The path and beyond, behind the baskets are OB
Hole 10- Double Mando off the Tee (first two large trees) Automatic Re-Tee - Path and beyond is OB
Hole 11 - Island green: outside the Rocks is OB- Add 1 stroke and Re-Tee from the DROP ZONE (Red Tee) Throwing 3
Hole 12 - Path and beyond is OB
Hole 13 - Over the fence is OB--Over the creek (behind the basket) is OB-- The path and beyond, behind the basket is OB
Hole 18 – Inside the fence is OB

That cypress or whatever makes the hole...in its short poss.

The bush on 15 is key<--bird poop at it's finest. I could see those two pine trees behind the short pin coming out though...kinda in the way for long 15.

No way Jose 15's bush stays right where its at. Plus I think because that ones so mature that digging it up will likely kill it. But the one on 14 needs to be moved its just going to waste there and lose's its potential being there. It cant even grow cause the lack of sunlight due to the pines and other tall trees stealing all its light.

Id suggest a nice Jap. Maple but that would get tore up if not stolen.

I only suggested moving the kiosk because one its getting slammed by disc's, and two I know that the kiosk wasnt accounted for when the gold tee was implemented. I like the tightness it provides but I would deff like to see a tree or something there in its place.

Yeah pruning some braches to the right opens it up a bit but who's throwing toward that direction anyways? I always throw over the kiosk so that I dont end up next to the football field or in the shule on the right. I know you throw over the kiosk mostly and Pz always throws over the kiosk. I personally have never hit it myself but have seen it take a beatin and not just by steve. Im cool with whatever yall decide to do but def look into moving that thing back. I wanna paint that ugly ass thing too that cool? I can get some Braves paint at the home depot lol.

I understand where you are coming from Big Ben (just funnin'), the kiosk needs to go, although it never has bothered me.

Those who hit the kiosk are more than likely playing from the wrong tee pad. Steve is a cool dude and might have just slipped up a bit.

There are way better things to improve at Moseley than move a kiosk (or rake leaves).

I hope that Kove will do the sign, that sems worthwhile.
