As you should, Randy. Make a pit stop in Monticello to pick me up, 'cause this is a very fun tournament, one of the most memorable I've been to in years.

And it pays to buy those little lights from Grease and put them on your discs ahead of time.

And the restaurant between rounds is really scenic, right on the lake, with a really good view of the giant keg we get to kill.

This event is a fundraiser for equipment for Macon's newest course currently being designed at Bowden Golf Course. Our goal is to have a true Champion Course in Macon with multiple tee pads and pin placements.

Wow, there is a new course going up in Macon? This is great news. I'm glad to support this effort! Also, I have a question about the tournament, Is everyone playing both rounds, or is only one round scored and the other one for fun or what? I'm new. I don't quite get it. Either way, I'm sure it's going to be a blast. I hope the wind is going to be calmer on the back 9 on the 19th.

We score both rounds. Typically, we play 1st round and during the break you are sorted/ranked by your scores in your division. After the 2nd round, you are ranked again and prize winners are determined. The amount of prizes determines greatly on the number of players. So were hoping to see it fill up this year. Typically we have 30 to 50 in players.

Sounds good. I'll be offline for the weekend. Making my first trip to Blairsville for Meeks Madness. I'll check in an update on Monday.

I might be down around Macon that weekend. Couple of questions:

What do the player's packs look like?
I have never played a glow round, how much more difficult is it playing in the dark?

The player pack is a low country boil at the Fish N Pig and a keg of Sweetwater 420 and your all in for CTP's. You can get lights to add to your disc at Academy or from Grease at Primo Plastic (my recommendation). It's surprisingly easier to play at night, trees that aren't seen aren't hit, Weird! It's just a lot of fun to see your shot turn in to a shooting star.

And this is the right course for a night tournament. Hopefully it will be as clear as the last one--moonlight and free beer.

:?: Anyone wanna suggest disc lights and where to get them? I've never used them. Are there any available locally? I think I saw some at Academy a while back now that I think of it. Will they work OK on my opaque discs too? (I guess if they do then they're not really opaque, but you get what I'm sayin'.) I see that some of them come with double-sided tape. Should I bring/use some other kind of tape? And finally, do they work in the water? Grassy-ass! :D

I've used some of those nifty led lights from Academy that change colors and they can make tye dyed disc look amazing. But you have to screw them into your disc so it's permanent or permanently ruined afterwards. Best bet is to get a small light and tape it to the discs. Grease should have plenty available that night and if not you can get them from the convenience store during the dinner break. Look under accessories at www.primoplastic.com.

I don't know why I thought that the stamped glow discs were included in the player pack :( I'll be getting one anyway! I have been false advertising. BTW, I have a group of up to 8. Some are maybe's. Do you need a definite soon or can we just show up?

I will only have a handful of lights, so you may want to stock up at Academy or the convenience store.

I swung by the convenience store and he has plenty of lights for everyone. Thousands of them. There will be plenty of time for you to go to the store during the dinner break so dont worry.
