New Hole 15 , Hole 17 out of play, New 14 C pin

We have opened up the new 15. Signage is in the works. When you putt out on hole 14 new C pin, go along path by gully away from 14's tee pad to the rubber tee pad. the shot for backhand is a long annie across the gully to pin on side of slope near picnic tables. You can see new 15's basket to your right leaving 14's tee pad. Still rough, but a fun throw. After you put out proceed to old 15 which will become 16, and so on. When we raise the money, we will replace old 17's basket.

Played this hole today for the first time and must say it's not a bad hole. I prefer the old 14 but that's life. Also there is some rusty barbed wire about 30 feet behind the basket that my leg happened to find so beware... :?

Like the new hole, but the fairway is now overrun with poison oak and poison ivy. Nothing a little Roundup can't fix.

I liked this hole...thought it played well. Better than what the old one was. But that was just judging from the old tee pad. Today was my first time playing this course. Sweet course!

Re: New Hole 14 (for now) - 20 No-back to orig 14A

Postby Jay » Mon Nov 22, 2010 10:48 pm

As of yesterday, the basket has been moved from the new 14 to the orig. 14a. We need to finish the new hole and if we get a basket before the tourney, we will open it up and have the course play 19 holes.

The new pin set is ready for orig 14C now so we will move the basket from 14a to 14c and then you can practice the new hole....next tee pad not far behind the basket. A stake with tape is set, just follow the fairway...... Basket will be in place for the tourney.

A few of us played the new 14c and new hole 15 yesterday. The new combination is great. I love the trade for the new 15 in place of the old 17.
Not that 17 wasn't cool, but the new 15 is preferable.
Great work to Jay and the guys on the course. It keeps getting better and it is always in good shape.

Thanks!

You took out the big uphill shot 17? If so, thats weak i like the shot and felt like it was a great hole.

Just for now until we get another basket. That was a temp hole, but pushing to raise money with the locals so we can have 19 holes. Calm down now....... many complaints on that hole due to throwing over a parking lot and a road, but we want to keep it as it is...... a tough hole living up to the backside nickname of our course which is: The Gauntlet!!!! Noodle arms beware!

Thanks for playing!

ahhh....thanks for the confidence! We will be renumbering the baskets/working on new directionals/tee signs them soo,n once we get another basket. I like the fact that we added a 365' hole to the course. You know we do not have much land at that park so we have to make do with what we have. We also remove 3 more large trees this past Saturday which has established the line we were looking for!
