Pop's BBQ for the halloween tournament

Postby luke » Wed Oct 27, 2010 8:39 pm

The local bbq joint will be coming out to take orders in the morning before the first round. I recommend doing this so you don't have to leave the park. It is Sunday, and church will be taking up the local restaurants--of which there are only a few choices. We do have bathroom facilities at the baseball park across the street from the course, so no reason to leave. Please bring cashola and support the minute economy of My CousinVinnyville.

Unless you like your BBQ similar to tasteless wood chips, stay away from Pop's BBQ in Monticello. I thank the TD for setting this convenience up, but I don't think he had a clue that their food is total garbage. So, moral of the story is: when in Monticello, definitely go play the Monty, but unless you are crawling on your knees starving, never go to Pop's BBQ.

That's why, after they rudely informed me i was supposed to pre-order the food, i went to DQ (only 1.7 miles from the course) and got me one of these....

I bet the styrofoam container that our lunches came in tasted better than Pop's BBQ. They should change their name to Poop's BBQ.
