The date works perfectly for the defending champs as we'll be in VEGAS for Halloween and I'll be playing there.

I am hoping for a big turn out. Each player will get a custom stamped Roc or Aviar putter for a players pack. 15th annual Fright Flight should be a fun tournament. Get your partner and sign up. Mail me your entries, at this point its not worth setting up online registration. When I completed the event with the PDGA I guess I did it wrong since my online registration never launched.

Hello, I will be in Georgia on the weekend of this tournament and am interested in playing. Since I'm traveling alone I don't have a Dubs Partner.. I'm PDGA #39737, 29yrs. old and a 935 rated golfer and I play MA1 in sanctioned events and dabble in the Open in non-sanctioned ones. If I were to say anything about my game it would be that I'm pretty solid off the Tee and a decent putter but driving is where I excell. Let me know if anyone is interested and I'll try and check this or my email a little later. scythe311@yahoo.com.

Don't forget to bring an extra $20 spot. More action than a dog track means $1 CTP on every hole, ONE DIVISION. $2 ace fund. $20 bucks gets you in on all of the side action.

We are less than a week away from Fright Flight 15. Sign up now by letting me know that you plan to be there. Every player gets a players pack disc. Get ready for some JP Mosely doubles action... :ugeek:  :silent:

I played a practice round with Gaddis today, the course is looking and playing sick (esp. with a 15-20mph headwind on 1,8,9, and 10.) This course is so money this time of year, with heat not being an issue.

I have a couple of questions,

Are we playing the new tee on 5?
Are all par 4s and 5s going to be 2nd shot ctps?
If so, do both team members have to be in on the ctp if both players shots are used? I assume yes but want to be clear.

Also, you might want to consider having someone move 15 back to the par3 position seeing as a lot of shots land or fly over the next Tee when playing as a par4. To make it worse, you cant see the shots coming when you are on the next tee.

I cant wait for Saturday......New Partner, Same Result......Vampions!

I will be posting course particulars/layouts soon for both events.

Just a couple of quick facts after speaking with Rand:

*You will be playing all gold teepads with the exception of hole #13 which you will be playing the black (bringing in the 3rd par 5 of the day at 1080 ft.

*Hole 5 you will be playing from the new teepad

*Hole 15 will be the par 4 position (as per Rand's request). I beleive Wade will be available in a supervisory role, and being a spotter on hole 15 & 16 might be a good spot for him to hang out.

I will be out on the course Thurs. and Friday, improving signage, weedeating, making the baskets more visable and what not.

* All items are subject to Rand's discretion

JP Moseley Park:

You are OB if you are surrounded by water in any of the creeks that make their way throughout the course.

The walking paths play as creeks. Completely surrounded by asphalt is OB.
Exceptions to that rule are tee #’s 9 (gold), 11 (gold) and13 (black and gold)

Hole by Hole:

Hole 1-636ft. par 4: Going over or on the walking path to the right of the hole is OB. The gold tee is by the utility shed in between the football and baseball fields

Hole 2-189ft. par 3: Quite possibly the easiest hole on the course. Multiple routes.

Hole 3-298ft. par 3:: Remeniscent of hole #12 at the Ant farm, except in this case there is a more defined route. Hit the line and it will consistently yeild a par or better.

Hole 4- 276ft. par 3: Going over or on the walking path to the right of the hole is OB. Quite possibly the most difficult of the woods holes a sidearm or left handed shot might be your best bet. Par here is a great score allthough a birdie can be had here as well.

Hole 5-260ft. par 3: An intimidating shot off the tee. Hit the straight line and you should be golden.

Hole 6- 251ft. par 3; An anhyzer if there ever was such a one. Be right of the two trees that are split on the left hand side of the fairway to set up the par/birdie run

Hole 7-475ft. par 3: Stay in the fairway! the basket is approx. 360ft. downhill and then to the right behind the treeline. No OB on this hole

Hole 8-940ft. par 5: The first of the par 5's. This hole features three distinct landing zones. Of all the shots that you could throw on this hole the most important is your drive. Avoid the Frog Pond located just before the small clumps of trees 250 ft. off the gold tee. Completely surounded by rocks while being inside the frog pond is OB. Surrounded by asphalt on the walking path is OB. Surrounded by water in either of the two creeks is OB.

Hole 9-956ft. par 5: Your second par 5 of the day features a Mando that must be passed to the right of in order to complete the hole. The gold teepad is on the walking path where the path goes over the creek. There is a drop zone marked by flags for those throws that miss the mando. The large sewer cap is 256 ft. from the pin. Frog pond#2 (approx 100-120 ft. short of pin) is marked by rocks and plays OB if you are completely surrounded by the rocks that mark the pond. Walking path also plays as a creek-completely surrounded by asphalt is OB (excluding tee). Going over the silt fence is not OB. On or exceeding the walking path behind the pin is OB.

Hole 10-443ft. par 3 : Double mando off of tee (gold). Automatic re-tee for missing mando's. On or over walking path is OB.

Hole11-308ft. par3: Island hole (Skull Island) You are OB if you do not land on the green that is surrounded by rocks. If you are touching a rock you are in bounds. If your drive touches a rock but then proceeds to not rest on the green or on a rock marking the boundary of the green you are OB. To fully qualify it must meet the following criteria: on the green surrounded by rocks; coming to rest on one of the boundary rocks. For missed drives: proceed to the drop zone with a 1 stroke penalty. Missed shots from the drop zone will incur one stroke penalties untill a successful green shot has been completed.

Hole 12-501ft. par 3: On or over walking path is OB

Hole 13-1082 par 5: Over the fence on the right hand side is OB. Over the creek (behind the basket) is OB. In the creek surrounded by water is OB. Surrounded by asphalt is OB. Exceeding the walking path by 9's teepad is OB.

Hole 14-308 ft. par3: This hole features a split fairway. There is no OB on this hole.

Hole 15-582ft. par 4: A spotter must be used for this hole! Please wait for people who are teeing off on hole 16 to be completed before teeing off or approaching 15's basket. The hole itself is a dogleg to the left. A shot that goes straight and then slightly left at about 300 ft. will be set up for an approach at this hole.

Hole 16-259ft. par 3: This hole also features several options for reaching the basket. There is no OB on this hole

Hole 17-348ft. par 3: Tunnel vision. This hole features a straight shot.

Hole 18-501ft. par 3: Throw it there and it will go. The Field of Screams (Ant Farm reference #2, hole 3 AF) does not play OB. One of the more difficult par 3's on the course and as far as I know it has never been birdied. A Shaniac sandwich bounty to the first person who successfully turns a birdie on this hole unassisted!

8613 ft. Par 62
Johnson! Keep an eye on that Kherplakistan situation...

No, no, No! Cash is no good.(Too easy for the TD.) A credit card, check or money order is so much more convenient, but gold bullion equivalent to 4x the entry fee is preferred.(As a late fee.)

Perhaps 3 or 4 winning lottery tickets equal to the cost of entry.

Did DD just bring back the Wills of old "Lottery ticket CTP"? Pizza Joe, Nabber, and Whap use to always run that action. Its official, everyone who brings a lottery ticket will be in on a second "gamblers only" CTP to be held on HOLE 11. Bring a $1 scratch off (NOT A CASH THREE) ticket and you will be eligible to win. CTP will carry for both rounds. We will have a seperate flag on the hole for the dog track CTP ($1 cash entry on every hole, one division).

The action is brewing the roafs are stewing :o WHOOOOOOOO, buck Ric Flair. That means get in where you fit in.

Drow, keep the entertainment coming...

We fixin to go loco. Who is going to show up in costume? John Burpee showed up in a Santa suit at Cold Snake one year. Costume award awaits the crowd favorite. :shh:

SHOW UP WITH CASH, not some story and a hand full of change. Plenty of room for all that would like to play Fright Flight 15. Roc or Aviar with Werewolf stamp to each player.

See you Sat morning.

PLEASE MAKE NOTE, TEE OFF IS AT 9:30am. If your late, don't worry Woody needs someone to pull his cart around the course. Get there early enough to get in all of the side action...

Spread the word about bringing a $1 scratch off ticket for CTP on hole 11.

All of the above is the exact reason why the Am division at Fright Flight has always been called Bagger division. Bring yur own partner doubles should always be one divsion anyway.

Awwww. Did someone get their wittle feelins hurt?

But since you asked; I'm betting on Schusterick. McBeth could do it as well and I wouldn't count out 'old man' Schultzy either. Just hope it isn't Nikko. Either way, I guess they'll all be winners 'cause THEY are playing in the USDGC and will certainly be taking home more than a jar full of quarters.

Cody and Q won $600 in Open Pro

Can't remember 100% who won bagger division (Rand's name for it - so no nasty Emails or PM's to me please  ) - I think it was Andrew Jenkins and Miles Long (who got an ace on Lorelei's hole)

Team Shimkus won mixed division

The future World Champ and I defended our pop/pup title - (which we will always do if the event is NOT on Halloween weekend  )

I'm sure Rand can post actuals sometime in the future - or maybe not, but hopefully that helps you Vern!

I did neither. Hense the parenthesis comment.

It's not our fault who shows up for Pop/pup and who doesn't and we also didn't change the date - you want us not to win - you need the Event to be on Halloween weekend when we are in Vegas, or you need to have more families taking chances
(Scott /Ryan Renz bringing their Dad out, or Q or Cody bringing their dads out)

There is currently not a way that the PDGA can establish a round rating per individual player for a team event.
