Course is in good shape

Postby Ghostinthemachine » Mon Jan 18, 2010 4:00 pm

Got to play Sunday with a few others and we enjoyed all 18 holes. A little muddy and a few issues for the construction company to address but nothing that interfered with our round. Course is playing shorter so enjoy it!

There was a large ditch digger behind #16 basket for ongoing work at the line over the creek but it does not affect anything. Teepad #1 will be replaced in the future since it was removed for placing the sewer line. I consider these items to the punch list items to be completed over the next month. IMO, they are 95% complete with work which could impact the course.

Hope they fixed the leaking areas there by the creek. The way they ran the line across the creek seems to be a "cost effective" method, but if it works, it works.

They poured two footings and attached the sewer line with collar ties. I think cost effective is a good term. That's one of the one item I think would be on the "punch list" with the teepad on hole 1 when I said they were 95% complete. Woody thought they still had some more work in front of them around the creek on Hole 16 and he's an architect so I figure they'll be screwing around there over the next 4 weeks to get it right.

Played Reeedan today and wanted folks to know the new community center is now open and in full effect. You may ask yourself "what does this mean for me?"

It means there is now an active parking lot which will reduce the fear of some folks getting their cars broken in to. I would recommend to still use common sense and leave the valuables out of sight but I think with the additional folks, and police presence, the chances of a break in will reduce.

So head to Redan - play some disc golf - and have fun 8)
