Winter putting league?

Postby billnchristy » Thu Jul 01, 2010 8:38 am

I know it is early but I want to start looking for venues if people would be down.

Would also like suggestions of where to do something like this, does anybody know of a good (cheap) bar/restaurant/bowling alley that has a banquet room that would be affordable to be rented for an hour or two every week for a couple months? I am hoping that, like a bowling league, the promise of food eaten and beer drank would be a good incentive.

Would like somewhere that you could get a beer or two and have a good time.

Format TBD but basically when it gets damn cold and nobody is playing because the sun goes down at 4 everyone could meet up, pay in (price TBD based on rental costs), play and maybe win a couple bucks and hopefully pay for all the beer they drank.

I bring my basket inside and putt in my basement. The fridge is always full of beer. Good luck though.

There are plenty of cases where playing with yourself is fun.

This may or may not be one of them.
