I dunno. Would people come to a superclass? If I did superclass, I would want it to be pdga. Can I get a pdga tournament rolling in 2 months? I'm almost ready to try it...

I don't think I'd want to make both of them superclass, but the sunday singles...

Please respond with an opinion if you're reading this post. I'm tired of 15 teams at every tournament. I want 20.

Mileage wise as a C-Tier yes - but that weekend Savannah and the IDGC are both having PDGA Events which may draw from your pool of players.

If you do wish it to be PDGA let me know and I can help you get the ball rolling.

Thanks for such a quick response, Keith. This will be the third time we've had the tournament the same weekend as the IDGC, so I doubt we'll lose too many there. I'll contact you soon about this.

Let me know if you want to do it, but keep in mind with sanctioning comes PDGA rules, which from the sounds of past posts on the Monty threads, might not be as welcome for some of the players who enjoy the atmosphere that the Monty usually has.

Maybe the fact that it is a NON PDGA event, helps you "enjoy the atmosphere"? It's the same PDGA guys that go to the Monty events. You are such a nerdsack!!

For once you missed the point Poindexter Randy,

I know that it is PDGA guys that play, but if you put PDGA rules on those PDGA guys, are the Monty Events going to be the same good times :?:

I just wanted to point that out - as several Fun atmosphere type Events around the country DO NOT sanction for that very reason - it changes the Event into something not as fun in some players eyes.

Carry on - and I'll wait for Luke's repsponse - as his is the only one that matters for this issue as
State Co-ordinator which is my only interest.

I am TD certified so if you need help Luke, I'm ready.

We'll just have to keep an eye on Clunck....or maybe Keith will be around to help us ?

All in all.... No superclass! Amybe later would be fun for that, but it is tough enough to shoot par on that course now with regular discs. I don't even want to try it with lids (although I keep a zephyr in my bag at all times)

I'd keep Monty action non-pdga for now.... atleast till we get "The Full Monty" course set up. (hint, hint, tournament name) 8)

If we go pdga, it will only be for one of the days, and I'm thinking that the dubs should remain non pdga. It's the atmosphere and fun tournament.

Yea, the "FULL MONTY" will be the name, one day.

No Superclass, No PDGA. Why pay them and take away from the players? IMO, I doubt the numbers would increase at all. I'd even bet they'd drop. But I do love some Monty and everthing else surounding the event, so I'll come whatever choice you make Luke.

I won't change Monty Dubs from what it is. However, when the course is "done", we'll start a regular pdga singles event.

Who was the kid that DQ'd himself from the night tourny in Macon?

I'd like to get him to step up to Advanced and partner up. Seems
like we might have the same temperament

That's Brian Lang. I got his digits, etc. I think he's Blang on this site. He also maintains the MGDGA.com site. I know he plans on coming but I don't know his partner status. I'm pretty sure he could go either masters/advanced too.

Oh, I like the Grease at the bottom of the stairs. That other thing is so last January.

Can we get in individual CTP's or do we have to get in all?

I don't think it would be fair to everyone else if I get in on #18 or #13 so I was thinking about skipping those and maybe a couple of other ones.

I'll have a few coolers of water on the course.

Finished mowing yesterday. Well, sort of. I had to use the bush hog all the way back on 5! It's a little sloppy, but much better than it would have been.
