Sick payout! unfortunately the course sucked before they put up all the rope, i cant even imagine how lame it is now. 27th Arkansas State Championships are also next weekend in Little Rock. Non-PDGA with $2500 for first place. Those courses aren't the best but they are a lot of fun.

All of the great courses they have in Huntsville and they keep setting up action at the lousiest course there. I do not get it...

Check. Seems like they would tighten up UAH with some OB ropes if they feel it's necessary. UAH is by far the better course. Taking a shule course and making it more shule is ridiculous.

When I was in Bowling Green I talked to a local from there. He said there disc golf club has split over a dispute and the group that divided only wants to run action in Athens. Total waste of great resources UAH and Redstone are 2 of the better courses I have ever played.

I played UAH in 2003 on a roadtrip and it was awesome. Todays layout doesn't even play on the same land, but they created killer track with the new land too.

UAH is a sweet course without the rope, and it wasn't to bad with rope either.

btw-Rope is garbage on 90-95% of courses it's tried on.

They set up the old UAH course a couple of weeks ago with temp baskets for a 1 day non-pdga.
Wish I could have made it.

I heard about that. It also wasn't the same set-up I played in 03. Someone out there knows better than me but i think they have had at least 4 different layouts.

I haven't been to Athens since 2007. Don't they have the circus elevated baskets out there now? The course has some good holes but overall it is poorly thought out and put together.

Nobody got close to shooting par because of the 15-20mph winds. The holes that the baskets are elevated 10+ feet up in the middle of an open field were a nightmare in the wind. People were 3 and 4 putting. One guy was trying to put right under the basket and it came back and hit him in the chest before he could even move out of the way. Great people out there, but rough conditions. Unfortunately, I hear from the locals that it is always like that...

That is pretty weird. I still think there should have been someone who shot under 20 mph winds or not.

Check. The course is really lame. From what I hear, the elevated circus baskets only add to the invalidity of this place.

Sure it's not the coolest course but with TEN STACKS ADDED! I'd play in a parking lot, bring on the lameness and Show Me the Benjamins!
