No state or PDGA action in neighboring states are on this weekend and the ERP Women's only event is the only local action which will not conflict with the USDGC qualifying players.

See everyone interested on the 26th of June!

Josh-

Moseley attributes wouldn't qualify for a GA USDGC qualifier. First of all the course doesn't have to be altered from its current layout (If we had 27 holes we could have skipped 9 of them and then MAYBE...). Secondly the teepads are concrete with a nice even and consistent playing surface (have you ever teed off on a flypad?). Third it has sun/rain shelters that protect players from the elements at nearly a moments notice(disc golf is about roughing it and being out in nature, and hey what's a little bit of hail b/t friends?). Last but not least it is nearly removed from all other park activities making it not a joy to play if you like a bunch of other things crowding the course of play.

Keith is doing us a favor by putting this on to raise money for the person who wins. Used to be, the state coordinator gave it to
the highest rated player who hadn't qualified yet. I think this is a better way to do it, and if Keith is going through the pains to
make it happen, he can choose to have it in his basement as far as I care. Daniel, you can go back to whining about not getting
enough hugs for running Hotlanta (JK). This whole thread doesn't pertain to you or me, really.

Check on that one. The only way I'd qualify for the USDGC is if someone dies and wills it to me...allthough it still would be nice to use JP for something this year...and if someone doesn't stir the brew it just goes stagnant.

Why is this superseding all other tournaments when it is non-sanctioned? Should it not be moved to lesser priority even though it is important?

Oh for gosh sakes Greg-must you ask so many questions?

Examples: Why is this tournament this way? Why is it that way? Where's that diaper rash cream for my the rash on my--

Can't you leave it alone? Is it really that important?

CONGRATS to Josh Childs who is your state representative from Georgia for the 2010 USDGC!

Josh came form the second card with a 52 in the second round to beat the field of 15.

Quinton Mayben was 2nd and Matt (I hate the course) Dollar was third.

First round was shotgun start in 3 somes with second round being tee times with everyone starting on Hole 1.

Scores:
1st Josh Childs 58-52=110
2nd Quinton Mayben 57-55=112
3rd Matt Dollar 59-54=113
T-4th Cody Britain 56-60=116
T-4th Bootsie (first round leader) 55-61=116
T-6th Brett Rousseau 60-57=117
T-6th Jason Makarovich 56-61=117
8th Rob Mc Elreath 61-61=122
9th Matt Versola 62-62=124
T-10th Jon Plotky 68-58=126
T-10th Brad Bowman 58-68=126
12th Nathan Skinner 69-65=134
T-13th Keith Johnson 70-68=138
T-13th Chris T. 69-69=138
15th Tim Ellis 60-DNS=DNF

Thanks also to John Outler for donating his entry without ever throwing a disc to the cause. With the light turnout Josh gets $150 in spending cash along with his entry to the USDGC paid.

Thanks to all that showed and I'm sure will join Kevin McCoy, Brad Hammock, Phil Arthur and Rand Eberhard as ambassadors for the state at Rock Hill in October!

What some of dont know is that Monday is the start of the murder trial of Josh's mom Pam B Childs . This has been on all of our minds and hearts for 2 1/2 years and soon hopefully will be over with. Josh has been trying his best the last couple of years to make it to USDGC and as his father and best friend I am sure proud of him as disc golfer, father and son.Now I will be pulling for Vach and Dollar to make it to USDGC......TEAM MONKEY DUST!!!!!!!

I know it has been a long time coming and I pray the outcome is what you guys hope for.

If you need anything while you guys are in Atlanta be sure to give me a call.

I didn't know where else to post this but: Thank you to the GSSS members who put out the water coolers on course. I played there yesterday and, despite having two water bottles, still needed to refill a couple of times. Having enough water was to complete a round without getting dehydrated was awesome.
