Here is an idea that could raise funds and be a heck of a good time to watch.
64 entrants (16 cards of 4)
Random card draw
Once the 16 cards are drawn play starts on the front 9 of whatever course the event is run at, at the end of 9 everyone returns to tourney central and the best score on each card receives $20 and moves to the next round, everyone else is eliminated.
The now 4 cards play the back 9. Top of each card moves on and receives another $20.
2nd round, skins. Last card plays for skins on each hole. 80% of the pot is put into the skins, in this case if the event sold out $700 (really $704) would go to skins which would provide $35 per hole plus 2 2x holes. $180 is then donated to the course or if you want to frill it up you could make a player pack to console the losers...TD choice.
Obviously this would draw more Open and ADV guys but really, with random draw and a good day you could make it past at least the first round and break even.
A little variety wouldn't hurt would it?
