The course is looking really good and workers have removed tons of shule from a few holes. They are moving some big rocks on hole 1, I guess they are going to make a wall of some sort? The big tree near the basket has been moved, but not far (more of a barrier now). Come on out and see what you are missing (or not missing).

Get out to this course !!!!!!! Hope to see you there

Hole 11 will have a "Island green" and it will be marked with flags & string to provide a definite boundary. If a player does not make the green, he\she will re-tee without penalty till they make the green. If you miss on your first drive (1), you re-tee for your second shot (2).
Hole 9 will have a "frog pond" OB about 120ft before the basket and will be flagged and defined with string (unless Dan has lined it with rocks, not Rocs already).
I'll try to get out early next week and set up the island green and frog pond OB.
All walk paths will be considered "rivers" and as long as you are not completely inside of the path, you are in bounds. Yes it is ok if you go over the "river" paths. Only exception to that rule is the path behind hole 9's basket (which is clearly marked on the barrier).

Let me know if you have any questions or comments, or have a better idea for the course OB marking.

OB is up and looking pretty good. I hope it will not get mangled before Saturday, but I'll stop and check it this week.
Hole 13: Pro's and Am's will play from the BLACK tee pad (longest) and if a OB shot occurs, then you will have to re-tee for your next shot. No stroke penalty. Example: first drive OB, re-tee for shot No. 2. (Same idea as hole 11, just no island green)

Thanks to all that came out to play!! It was a bit windy, but we had fun. Hope to double attendance next month.

The Island green on hole 11 will be adjusted as it was way too small. Sorry Aaron!! I'll double the size for next months action.

Yea my round was pretty much over after I took a circle 7 on hole 11 when the rest of my group did no worse than a four. I was right there with them, but the d%#! shelf was too small to get my weanie arm to reach it in that wind.

Looks like we'll have a "official" Pro out this wekeend !!!

I am expecting a record turnout since it is on a holiday weekend and everyone should be in-town, avoiding all the traffic....

Bring some water proof shoes/socks and an umbrella just incase it rains.... 50% chance

Those who are reading this and didn't attend:

You missed an excellent round of golf-and Moseley was looking about as good as it gets. Next time skip the weekly doubles that happens at the course that you play at three times a week (you know who I mean Alexanderites) and come test your skills at Moseley. Remember that playing a variety of courses is key to the development of a good golf game and muscle memory is not.
