The towels will be sweet. Long tri-fold golf towels with a large basket embroidery. There will be 15 Maroon, 15 Hunter Green, and plenty of Black. This will stay with your bag all year. Sweet neck cooling tubes can only be truly valued during those hot summer rounds, but a quality towel gives all year long.

I just registered for the event online and it was a snap thanks to the PayPal account that Scott set up.

Scorecards were just completed and are on their way. They look pretty sweet. ...and it's not your average scorecard.
Once you get it, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it.
No more shuffling for scorecards.
No more tearing pieces of paper to keep track.
No more asking the TD for an extra scorecard.
You will now have your own re-usable scorecard always. ...as long as you don't lose it.
damn..., that is one fine piece of plastic.

I would love to play but after being at White Oak all day on Saturday I'll have to see how the wife is feeling about me being gone for two days. I have to travel Wed-Fri next week so it's not looking good. I hate to miss it though. Hope everybody has fun. Good luck with the fund raising.

The weather will be perfect for an Ice bowl. mid 50's. No mosquitos to swat too. This charity tournament would be a great one for those who want to get some experience in a lower pressure situation.
I will be there.

Rec. is a great starting point(unless you want to play the blue/black pads). This is non-sanctioned so no membership is required. Plenty of discs will be there for purchase or to win as prizes. If you have a specific disc order just let Bradshaw know and I'm sure he'll hook it up.

Like Kade says, rec is the place to start. I know from experience that neither Wade nor I bite, and my son had a great time playing with Connor at tournament last fall. This should be a pretty low-key way to get your first tournament experience.

Weather's supposed to be fabulous on Sunday -- temps in the 60s. Not exactly in the spirit of an Ice Bowl, perhaps, but should be a great day to play disc golf.

If you plan to register online, please do so before 9 pm tomorrow (Saturday 2/20). At that time I'll be disabling the registration on the RDGC web site so I can gen up the final list and get a check together for Bradshaw on Sunday. Plenty of room for everyone and looks to be an outstanding day, so even if you don't preregister, come on out and sign up on site Sunday morning.
