Help needed to get course ready for tournament January 30

Postby luke » Sun Jan 03, 2010 8:44 pm

We have six possible work days left before the tournament and a lot of things left to do. Could anyone come out next Saturday January 9th?

I may be able to help out. I just have to see what is planned for the weekend (ask the wifey)

Mark has some cedar that we may be able to use for crossing the creeks and making benches for the course. I'll call and see if he can help out on Saturday

Wow Mark, that's really awesome. I've been out there working on a catwalk for the entrance into the woods, but it's only logs nailed to other logs. The cedar would be an incredibly nice touch.

Saturday is good for me, but I'll have to leave around 3-4 in the afternoon.

Anyone up for an early start???

I'll bring my generator, drills & tools.
Let me know if anything else is needed.

There's about 3-4 trees I need to get out since we've lengthened/opened up #3. If you could bring that saw again...I'll cover the gas and oil.

Early start's fine with me.

Thanks Josh!

If you want breakfast, meet me at the Ingles in town--it's about 3 miles past the course. I'm buying. I'm rich like that.

10 guys showed up! Thanks to a dedicated crowd, the Monty is a course you really should visit. Thank you Wade, Clunck, Chris, Noah, John, and Justin (the last four of the band "Vertically Challenged"), Josh, Wookie, Mark, and Woodrow. Wade and I measured today, and for the tournament, we have 3 holes over 400 feet! (8 long, 13 long, and 18.) Thanks for all the hard work this weekend on 3, 4, 5, and 6.

all I got to say is:
2 pieces of white bread (layed side-by-side)
1 hotdog
1 cup of chili
mustard to taste
1/2 cup of cheese
bit more chili

above = heaven after working in freezing temps. 8)

I helped Wade plant #5 basket. We measured out the holes---the course is now 5502 feet. Next I need to rework the teesigns and next tee signs.
