Is 2nd Sunday action happening this weekend? I'd like to come out and actually play
the new layout. What time is start if it's on?

This afternoon I got a call from Mike E. to ask me to post on the cobbdiscgolf.com website that the Sunday Doubles at OP will be delayed a week because of the expected nasty weather. I haven't posted that there yet, but I'm about to. It will start at 1:30pm on Sunday, December 20.

Funny you should mention that, because there have been several times this year when I was headed there in the rain, only to have it clear up within a mile of the park, or where I've played a round expecting rain the whole time, and I have to get in my car after the round and drive East to find it.

Hey does everybody hate when a newb (6 months) shows up for dubs? Is it best throw? How much is it to play?

No one gets pissed off when newbs show up. The doubles action is more about fun and getting more people involved with the course. It's best shot doubles, so you take your second shot from whoever has the best drive and you pick the other one up. They usually draw red and white numbered chips to decide partners, so its totally random. I'm not positive but I think the action is usually $12 all in, which includes the payout, ace fund, and 4 CTPs. Come out and bring a bunch of people

Yes newbies are always welcome. If they weren't the sport would never grow. I think the Sunday doubles is $12 and the Thursday night glow doubles is $10. Check the cobbdiscgolf.com website for more details.

sign up is between 1:30 and 3:00 wtf? not sure if you guys are doing dubs tomorrow but i will be out there between 9 am and 7pm just to make sure i dont miss it.

What do you mean 1:30 and 3:00? Normally we start our Sunday Doubles round at 1:30. Did I make a typo on the website or something?

Thursday doubles happens every week except on major holidays, and we'll start at 6pm tonight. Be there a little earlier for sign-up and to draw for your partner. I'm sorry you're confused.

Saw second Sunday dubs has been moved to the 15th. Just wondering if ya"ll just play the 18 hole course, or if you still put out (i think when i played it was) 29 holes. Its dang hot out and i would not mind playing the course. If its going to be safari all around the park, then i think me and the fellas will have to pass.

wow........august 15th, second sunday doubles........3 ACES! adam marks hit #11 white in short, Nick Richardson hit #7 white (very nice not easy at all) and Ed ......sorry ed dont know your last name hit a portable basket in teh driving range on his last hole of the day. we had three groups and each group had someone ace.
