We need baskets!!!!
Metal would be nice, but we won't turn away the fabric ones either!

***Please be sure tho think about bringing a lunch as there isn't much to choose from in the area... Subway (decent, but questionable sometimes), Wendy's & Yums (wings, and stuff, pretty decent). I've never ate at Wendy's and have only seen the DOT info-sign coming off the exit ramp.

I have a basket that you guys can use. Unfortunately I'll be playing at Tupelo Bay in Myrtle Beach that weekend. It's a shame that the Perkerson action always overlaps with other action. There are only so many weekends in the year though. I've been dying to get back out there. I haven't played there since the first Ice Bowl tournament.

Josh, can you do a metal basket sign up for December's tourney? That way no one will be guessing whether or not they need to bring one. I've got a DB5 for hole 5.

I'll see if John can put two options for bringing baskets.

But to be sure.... bring all the metal baskets you can!!!

Good shooting !!! Nate said you kept to the fairways, and was making your putts. Sometimes it is very hard to stay in-bounds at Perkerson (just ask Keith)

(expecting a very long narrative of his round sooner or later)

I heard KJ still tried to jump-putt hole 18!! tisk-tisk... maybe next time

I'll be in Orlando on my free trip to Universal for the next Event, but if someone wants to bring (and take responsibility for) my Chainstar, I can bring it with me to work and they can pick it up and bring it back afterwards.

No jump putt on 18 - just a putter down the right side gap - went 2 then 3 for the day.

I kind of need to retract my basket thing...I do have one and I will allow it to be used but I just realized there is no way in hell it is fitting in my car...so if it IS needed someone in the Gwinnett area that can transport it please get with me.

I jump putted my second shot in the second round on 18, maybe that was what they were speaking about as my shot hit the right hand "old mando tree" and rolled back towards the pavilion. I'll almost always jump putt if I'm 75-100 feet away - especially if there is OB behind the basket.

No narrative for you or anyone else Mr. dead horse beater.

Break that thing down - it'll fit. Ritger used to bring one in his 1982 Sentra.

Yep. I'll be there. I am in town for my brother's 30th birthday

I'm happy you picked this weekend for the event. I am glad to play Perkerson again, has anyone figured out why there were so many one fingered gloves in the creek when we cleaned it up?

Ya I live in Portland so Milo is only about an hour away, its a great course and I am lucky to have it so close. I make a lot locals mad when I claim the Crucible is a better course. Its fun but not as interesting as some of the holes at the Crucible. I can think of a couple holes at Perkerson that are better than anything Milo has, and Perk doesn't have a third of the land Milo has, but... I'm a homer.

Come on Rec's Perkerson is not that tough and playing Rec really does not help out the course fund. I thought to play Rec at the first event because I have only played a year now and it was my first time at PP, but really it's not bad. I think I finished 7th out of 12 or so and was in 5th or 6th after round one. I'm always told to do Rec so I'm just passing it along. Don't hate me if you disagree, haha!! I know CraigD needs to play Am but I am guessing he wants to be in his sons group!!

icebowl will be pretty much the same format as the monthlys:
rec plays short 2 rounds, everyone else plays 1 rd long, 1 rd short. i'm on the fence about the int div playing longs/shorts in the i-bowl.

strong open field so far -- top post updated with signed up players.

That is what I was going to do, but then it makes since just to play AM, besides you get to watch others who may or may not be better then you and see what they do and with what discs. I was just picking cause people always tell me to play up.

You can play... it wouldn't be smart to pay-in on the action though. You can sign up for the Rec Division, that way you only pay $2 for a course fee.

Sure Don.... The disc catcher would be great to use. We have check-in from 8am-9am
Players meeting at 9:15 and start at 9:30am
If you bring the basket we ask that you get to the park at least by 8:30 so we can place the basket...plus you get time to walk the course and get a plan made. Perkerson has OB on almost every hole. Definately a risk/reward course.
Hope to see you there Sunday
