Monty Doubles Tournament a GO Jan 30 2010

Postby luke » Sat Dec 05, 2009 12:52 pm

Get your partner now!

The next MONTY DUBS is January the 30th.
We plan to feature a new downhill hole (new number 5).

Also, the band "Vertically Challenged" plans to play a set in the woods!
(Insert heavy base riff here.)

This tournament looks to be the same as the other MONTY DUBS, with a lot of opportunities for action$$$, but instead of fundraising for the course, we'll be fundraising for the band's first CD.

A PARTY AT LUKE'S HOUSE WILL BE PROBABLE.

GO AHEAD AND RESPOND IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT LIKE TO COME.
LET ME KNOW IF YOU THINK YOU MIGHT LIKE A PLACE TO STAY FRIDAY OR SATURDAY NIGHT.

Nice bass riff, but Vertically Challenged is more of a heavy metal-type band. Their biggest self-proclaimed influence is Tool.

Maybe another clip with some screaming guitar?

I like these two heavy songs, maybe they can learn them before the tourney?

um, ChaChing is familiar with these guys. Maybe he'll look at the thread and say they already know these songs, along with some Burt Bacharach (sp?) favorites.

Oh yeah, Randy, do you suppose we could get that basket down before the probable tournament?
Maybe we'll dedicate a R-squared hole, complete with the strange amenities of your choice.

Dude, you're breaking some code by mentioning AC/DC after the Bullet Boys AND Rhinobucket. I think the natural order of progression dictates that the band KIX should probably be next, perhaps Danger!Danger! or even Vixen.

They sound like this when unplugged..... http://www.photobiz.com/slideshowbiz/sl ... herID=5779

These are pics from the Gwinnett County Open, with Vertically Challenged playing "Someday", acoustic. Those of you who played the GCO probably saw Tina, the photographer. She is my brothers girlfriend, my brother plays bass in the band. They also have a FB page, if you wanna hear what they really sound like. Got o the music player near the bottom of the page.

Can I bring my triangle and jam with the band? I'll need a Marshall full stack. Hopefully, they can
provide that.

Is the Ping Pong on?? We should be getting a table for Christmas and that will give me a month of practice to try and take down Chappy.

Pong is on. 2 or 3 bucks to enter? Also, I'd like to do an off-handed tournament---I can't play with my right lately, so I make do with the left.

If you have an extra disc left I'll take it! Thanks man. Let me know what weekend you want to have a clean up. I am free next Saturday (19th). I'll have a feshly serviced chainsaw by then. What ever you need cut, we can do it in about 3-4 hours.... including cutting them in movable pieces.
