LOL, we just changed it from 9am! We like to get it in early so that we can use it as an excuse to play all day.

Hey JR, should we mention discgolfscene.com and Team Alexander? This way scores can be posted, and the Ace fund total is recorded.

Yes Derek, great idea.

You can visit http://www.discgolfscene.com to learn about Team Alexander, see the doubles results and Ace fund. We have had some great turn outs considering the wind and rain we have experienced of late. Come on out and enjoy a friendly round of disc golf.

Great turn out Sat. Oct.24. We had 22 players. Come on out for a good time of rivalry and camaraderie. Team Alexander made a great showing in the "Lost in the Woods tourney.

Rain,rain go away, so at the doubles we can PLAY! :cry: Even so, those of us who have more discs than brains will be out there. Neither rain, or snow :shock: ,nor dead of night( glow discs) will deter these discers from thier appointed ROUNDS. Yeah, we'll go postal at the baskets. :lol:

Another good turn out today. The scores seemed higher then norm but then again the course is now set up for next weekends tournament. You can read this as long for the most part.

As for next week, YES we will be playing doubles. Start time is 10 sharp! Please try to get there no later then 9:45. We will be done before the tournament moves to Alex from Lenora.

PM me with any questions.

Some great disc golf played today! Three teams scored a 48 requiring a three way playoff. Chad and Brad took first place after the first playoff hole while Richard and Andrew took second after the third playoff hole. Joel and James took third. Congratulations to you all.

Thanks to all of you who joined us today especially the first timers. Looking forward to seeing you all next Saturday.

Congratulations to Brad Bowman and PT for setting the Saturday Morning Dubs record at a 42(-12) this morning. We had a great turnout with 19 people. The funny thing is I don't think anyone got new discs for Christmas. Thanks to Team Alexander for making 2009 fun! See you in 2010!!!

31 PLAYERS SHOWED THIS WEEK FOR DUBS!!! What a great morning! I never thought people would stop coming up over the hill. We had some players from Central Park make the trip, as well as some local pros. Even with the wind we still had some great scores. With 31 players you can't imagine how close the CTP's were. Thanks to all who made this morning awesome. See all of you and more next week!

CTPs and ace fund should be mandatory IMO. Just for the sake of easy payment at the beginning and end of it all. If someone can't contribute a few bucks because they don't feel like they can compete and "have a chance" then they should wait until after the doubles starts and play a casual round with themselves and save their other $5 for a post round sandwich. I never get CTPs, but always buy in. Its all about the action.

I respectfully disagree. One of the great attraction of doubles is new players get a chance to play with better players. $5 is a cheap buy-in for a new player who may not know whether or not he has the skills to compete in events. I believe one of our greatest sources of new competitive players got their start playing doubles at their home course. If a new player is considering competing, $5 is a smaller hurdle to overcome then $10 because a new player might get hooked up and split the action on the game where he may not know if he's got any chance at a CTP and could be wasting his money.

Personally, I don't play CTPs but half the time if that. One of my reason is to maintain the option for new double players. (The other is a small mental block about CTPs which causes me to yank my drives and miss my birdie on short holes.) I believe CTPs should be optional the first round and then let the second casual round of players decide. Also, in PDGA events, cash CTPs are optional so it provides consistency across the competitive spectrum.

Just my opinion,

Yeah definitley. It's a way to keep things cheaper if you want it to be, yet make another competitive alley for players who are not in the money hunt at dubs events. Like my group today for example.

Here is a question that came up during dubs on Sat. If two people ace two different holes and the total yardage is more then the fund, how does one go about splitting the cash? :?:

right now i'm going with split it. we don't have enough money to cover both aces so to split it is the only thing to do right now. i'm still waiting for one ace never mind 2 in one round.

We add the total distance of both aces, divide that into the total of the cash fund, come up with a percentage, apply that percentage to each ace distance and there you are. Simple... :D right?!

Yes indeed, simple ratio:

CashA = (DistanceA/DistanceTotal) x CashTotal
CashB = (DistanceB/DistanceTotal) x CashTotal

DistanceTotal = AceA+AceB

example:
CashTotal = $400
AceA = 275'
AceB = 225'
DistanceTotal = 275' + 225' = 500'

CashA = (275'/500') x $400 = $220
CashB = (225'/500') x $400 = $180

Team Alexander players are the official "mailmen" of disc golf. WE HAVE PLAYED IN JUST ABOUT ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS NOW! Big thanks to all 16 players that came out when the roads still had crap ice all over. We are not stupid we just love the game! :)

The Russell Brothers were there but likely after the Dubs were done. Were you the guys building the snow man? Brother had to make his way down from White County and could not get out of the driveway before eleven or so. Still had a fun round but not likely to have placed in the pay outs (63 and 65).

To all players coming to dubs tomorrow! If you can drag yourself out of bed just a bit earlier to try to come to the park around 9am with a shovel, we will be digging some holes for the distance markers for the practice basket. The more people we have the quicker it will get done, and that would be a good thing.

I hope this was the first sign of spring!!!
What a wonderful day for disc golf!!! Even though GSSS #1 was scheduled for today we still had 28 players. All the new practice basket markers are in, and again a bunch of new members joined in the fun. Now that the good weather is starting to arrive I need everyone else to arrive on time as well. This is very important to me in order to run a smooth league. We will be drawing chips at 9:50am. After the chips are drawn we will NOT accept any more players, not even to be odd dog. So PLEASE everyone arrive on time so you can help me run this smooth. Those of you that read this please let others know about the schedule for next week.

One more thing I would like to mention is the new bag tag league starting at Lenora. If you have any questions you can look into it more on the ADGO web site. Chop also gave me some paperwork and info if you had any questions when you come to dubs on Saturday morning. Like always Thank you again for helping making Team Alexander a success!

Scores for yesterday are finally posted

Postby JR » Sun Feb 28, 2010 11:21 am

My apologizes for the late post. I am afraid I am not as good as our leader at figuring out who you all are. If you see a mistake in the posting please bring it to my attention. Thanks.

As the weather is getting warmer (or is it that the Ace fund is getting bigger?) more players are coming out. We had another record turnout, 32. Hope to see even more of you next Saturday.

On a personal note I would like to thank all of you for making my solo TD experience a smooth one. Especially as the new 9:50 rule went into effect. Please spread the word.

I'm on Woody's team!!!!!!!!!!!
This was the morning! I will start out with a BIG congrats to Woody Blackwell for hitting the FIRST ACE of Team Alexanders random draw dubs on hole 4(248ft). Not only did he manage to ace hole 4 but that was also a CTP hole, PLUUUUSSS he won dubs action with a 42, aaannnd he got a disc that was donated by the GDGO to us for helping dig holes for the practice basket markers for CTP's as well. We will just start calling him "The Janitor" because he likes to clean up(he's squeaky clean).
ONCE AGAIN LEAGUE RECORD WITH 40 PLAYERS!
I want to thank everyone for helping Alexander doubles become such a big success! Lets try to help out Chop and join in Lenora's Bag Tag League Thursday's at 5:30. I do believe as we get more daylight they are going to push back the time a bit.

Again CONGRATULATIONS to Woody Blackwell, and congrats to all players for making this an all around record breaking day.

Another big day!
37 players came to play! Andrew those voo doo chips acted up again. CONGRATS to Nick Evans for hitting the 2nd ace in 2 weeks. He hit hole 11 for the rest of the ace pot(170). Oh yes and he hit it in flip flops. Good luck to all Team Alexander players that are playing the Crucible next weekend! DON'T FORGET TO SET YOUR CLOCK AHEAD!!!!

Y'all have a nice course out there. It looks like the Gwinett parks department really put out for the details, like the little distance-marker bricks around the putting basket, the nice tee signs, the dual concrete tee pads that always pointed in the right direction (sooo many courses get that detail wrong!), the well-installed sleeves for the multiple pin placements, etc. Let me know next time y'all aren't going to have 20+ mph gusting winds, and I'll come join you again. I had a lot of fun. I just can't decide whether to give it a 3.5 or a 4 on dgcoursereview.com. :geek:

Nice to see 22 people came to play at Alex today. It was a perfect day for disc golf. I just got back from the Crucible and it was SICK. Congrats Mark Spaugh for taking the intermediate players to school and winning the division, and winning the Ace/Eagle fund(well he split it with someone, but it was still cool). I will most likely be talking about this course for a few weeks so you will hear more about it when I see you on the course. Good playing today everyone, see you next week!

What a perfect morning we had! For some reason we can't shake those play off holes, but that shows we have some great competition out on the course. Awesome work on the new kiosks the boy scouts made, and awesome job to all that keep Alexander neat and clean.

Reminder, we will be at LENORA next week as the course at ALEX will be closed to the public.

My apologies to the three gentlemen who did not make it into today's action and thanks to the other 20 who were there on time. Please note, we draw numbers at 9:50 and tee off at 10:00. Once the numbers are drawn the action is closed.

Play off day
If you like a good play off you should have come this morning! We had seven out of seventeen teams shoot 47's this morning. Yeah a bit ridiculous, I agree(that's why I shot a 48). Thanks for dealing with my morning delays and we only finished 15 min. later then usual.

I also talked with Cody this morning and he told me they made a dope Safari layout at Central that they will be playing next Sunday the 29th at 4:00. Yes it will be doubles action.

odd dog wins for the 2nd time
Congrats to Mike H. for taking first as odd dog(only the second time odd dog has won dubs). Charles Eldridge parked hole 2 for the CTP, then on the last CTP hole he beat out Greg for a second CTP on 15. Cody Britton hit his head on the basket marking his CTP on 11, and JR had no challenges on his CTP for hole 6. I apologize to Rob Kelley for turning him away this morning. We had already drawn chips Rob. I know you can never make everyone happy but I like to try. See you all next week!

GREAT TURNOUT!
So we did have 46 players today, a new record! Let's start off with a big CONGRATS to Adam Marks for his ace on hole 6 today. Our CTP winner's this week were Taylor OSullivan hole 4, Matt Dollar hole 8, and Matt Rudzinski took both 10 and 13.

One more reminder, June 26th JR will run dubs at Lenora. Here are details of the tournament: Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation are holding some "TeamChallenge" events this year. The GDGO was asked to help run the Disc Golf event and found out a bit more about these fundraisers.

The Team Challenges are run by Gwinnett County as charity events to raise money for children and elderly who would like to take advantage of Gwinnett County programs but cannot afford the fees. Disc Golf is only one of the events they've planned this summer.

The Disc Golf Team Challenge will be Saturday, June 26. It will be a one round charity event with a start time of 9 am. All teams registered must have 4 people, which needs to include at least one woman, and pay a $50 registration fee (which is tax deductible).

The GDGO is donating 2 CTP discs and minis for all.

There will be trophies for the winners (provided by the county;) there will not be a payout in plastic or cash.

I still need to get the link for team sign up.

Record breaking day again
Ok so we had 35 people show today but thats not what the big deal is about. Not only did we have some sick scores, but we have a new Alexander doubles record of a 41, yes 13 down by Raury Seagreen and Dusty Jones. We also had yet another Ace this week on hole 4 by Steve Young, and if I heard him right this was his first ace. Congrats Steve!!! Now for our CTP winners....... we have Bryan C. taking hole 2, Raury Seagreen took hole 9, Al Fetta got hole 12, and Brett Portter took the last CTP on hole 15.

I was a very hot and sticky morning but we all had a good time. Of course we had a few new people join us this week. Like i always say thanks to all of you that help make our Saturday mornings a success.

Oh yeah GO CELTICS!!!

Not a bad turn out
We had 18 show today, not bad for the GSSS #4 going on. CTP winner's are Kevin Sanders hole #1, Andrew Lofstrand hole #5, Chris T hole #10, and Mike Alessi hole #14.
Another reminder, next weeks bubs will be held at Lenora due to the Team Challenge at Alex in the morning. I would recommend making a 4 man team and coming out for some fun. It's a fund raiser for children and elderly that can't afford fees for park activities. 3 men and a woman is a recommended team, but if you have 4 guys you will have a 3 stroke handicap. I believe you have till Thursday maybe Friday to sign up. COME JOIN THE FUN!!!

This Saturday the 26th JR will run dubs at Lenora. Cool thing is we have 5 new pin positions that will be ready to be played. Here are the hole descriptions

#3 - to the left of the current position about 50' under the pecan tree
to the extreme left.

#10 - about 90' longer and just about 15' to the right. Just on the
edge of the slight rise. We think we can also use this position as an
alt to #12.

#13 - straight out from the teepad about 330'. It's directly behind the
three/four trees in front of you when you're on the teepad.

#15 - way to the right of the current teepad about 15' from the
treeline. THer is a natural semi-circular cutout and the pin position
is in the middle of this.

#16 - to the left of the current position and farther out ~275'. It's
directly behind the three/four tree group to the left of the two trees
we currently have to throw around

Happy 4th of July
Congrats to Matt Dollar and Matt Rudzinski(big Matt and little Matt) for setting yet another dubs record at 13 down. We had a pretty go turnout even on 4th of July weekend! Our CTP winners this week are Matt Rudzinski (hole 4), Andrew Lofstrand (hole 8), Greg Pothier (hole 11), and Matt Versola (hole 17).

I want to remind everyone I am trying to get the sign ups going for the Alexander Aerial Armada 2 very soon. It will be Aug. 7th, and we will also have bonus events like big arm, putting, and accuracy. So mark it off on your calender and come join the fun!

Sorry for the hold up
Sorry guys I went out to TN this weekend. Score are now up and they were not to shabby. A hand full of new players showed up, and as always it was a good time. CTP winners were David Castro (hole 6), Al Hause (hole 10), Mike alessi (hole 12), and Al Fetta (hole 15).
I will be out of town up in Alaska representing GA when I play disc golf. So JR will be running dubs for the next few weeks. Also don't forget the Alexander Aerial Armada 2 is Aug 7th! You can sign up on Discgolfunited.com. See you guys in a few weeks. Any questions I will still have a computer in Alaska so get in touch with me if you need to. Just remember I will be 4 hours behind!

Nothing like disc golf in the summer here in GA. Nice tight scoring this morning. Even the ctp's were tight Cody Britton took both hole 2 and hole 10, Nick Brost took hole 6, and Mark Spaugh got hole 14. I have all the scores for last weeks dubs but because not everyone put last names on it so it's a bit hard for me to post. We need to start writing our full last names because we have to many people with the same names.

Next week I do not have any dubs scheduled due to the Alexander Aerial Armada II that everyone is signing up for. JR just had his twin boys on Thursday so he needs a little resting time. If you need more info on time or for some strange reason you need directions go to the ADGO board all the info is on it.

Hey guys, going to start coming out for this few times a month. Question about payout. What is payout for the 5$ to play. I know the $5 for 4 ctp's and ace fund is side action. Do top 2 get paid out and 3 get money back or all go to winners? Any of it go to league fees? Whats winning scores looking like usually? Sry for question and thanks in advance

Nice cool round today with no sun beating down on us. It's always good to see a few new faces every week. CTP winners this week are, Mr. W hole 2, Phillip Belt took two hole 6 and 14 ( i think he is try to get back at the course for that 1ft. loss in the big arm at the Aerial Armada), and Raury Seagreen parked hole 16. Good rounds today everyone, see you next week. OH, thanks again to all players supporting me and the GDGO and playing the Aerial Armada last week.

two 47's, two 48's, and two 49's thats pretty cool. Kinda strange a 47 won it the way we have been crankin out some low scores lately. It was a very competitive morning any ways. Our CTP winners are Jesse R. hole 5, Al Hause hole 8, Brett Porter hole 11, and Jon Plotky hole 15.

So we had a good morning with a bit of overcast(we always like that). We have not seen wind like today's wind science spring. Good playing by all teams, and we did not have a single team shoot over par this week!!!!! There were no battles over CTP's today they were set and never taken (except hole 4 that change hand once). CTP winners are Mark "Cha-Ching" Spaugh hole 1, Justin Holzer(took it from Andrew Lofstrand) hole 4, Greg Pothier hole 10, and Woodrow hole 13.
Just wanted to remind everyone that the GDGO will be hosting Labor Day Mixed Dubs at Lanora. It will be one round in the morning. Following the round we will have a few more fun events and prizes. First off thanks Brian for running the action for me this week on such short notice. Next week I will be out with you guys again! I hear that everyone had a good time, even with how fast that heat came. Our CTP holders for this week were PT on hole 2, Nick Brost took both hole 6 and hole 9(showoff), and Al Fetta took the cheese on hole12.

Two quick reminders, #1 Disc Stalker is hosting a free clinic on Sept 18th from 12:15 - 3:00.
#2 GDGO is hosting an Ace Race at Lenora Oct 2nd. Entry fee is $25 you can sign up from the link on the ADGO board, or you can bring it to me Saturday morning.

Great morning for some disc golf!! Small group again today, but the ace pot is still growing (315). We had some evenly matched teams today. Today's CTP winners were Taylor O'Sullivan hole 4, Greg Pothier hole 8, Al Fetta hole 13, and Ben Bolton hole 15. Thanks again for coming out guys.

Start thinking about the Gwinnett Open coming Nov. 13th. The field is open to 144 players this year. There will be active play on both parks all day, so if you want to play disc golf with a bunch of great players get yourself in!

Got to thank Fright Flight for that one!

Sorry for the decreased numbers but I definetly would like to welcome and invite any Alexander players who normally play on Saturdays to come check out JP Moseley this October the 30th as well. Probably haven't missed the posts on the Tournament board but just in case: October 30th (3 saturdays away) JP Moseley will be hosting The Briar Valley Horror PDGA C-Tier singles event. Very economiacal pricing and we would love to see you out there.

Sorry if this goes as perceived spam, but once again I would like to see you out there at Moseley for taste of what is the south side.

BTW, love the Alex. I wish it had been there when I lived in Duluth.

Redraw!!!!
Seems like a redraw is almost mandatory every week. I think I might do it even if I do it right the first time, just cause I'm Greg. :) Well I'm happy to inform everyone we had another record broken by Brad Hammock today he shot a 39 and he was odd dog, plus he held on to two CTP's!!!! The down side to all of this is he was my partner before we had the redraw. CTP winners this week were Brad Hammock hole 2 and 15, Cody Britton hole 4, and Ed Jensen hole 12. Thanks for coming out on another perfect disc golf morning!

Sorry I was not able to make last weeks round. Everyone had great scores, and all teams stayed under par! Just a reminder to sign up for the Gwinnett Open. Due to the course being closed we will not have action that day, Nov 13th. Al Hause is kind enough to run dubs for me this week(last game of eli's soccer season) so don't give him to hard of a time. :)

Thanks to Al Hause for running dubs on Sat. We had a guest from out of town, Rob Shaffer. He donated a disc for a CTP and Jon Plotky won it. Other CTP winners were David Martin hole 5, Raury Seagreen hole 8, Jon Plotky hole 10, and Brett Porter hole 12. Thanks every for helping me out with dubs while I have been busy with family stuff!

Perfect weather in Nov.
Glad i live in the south now other wise we would be playing in 30 degree weather in MA today. Again a few new faces joined us today, this sport is growing pretty fast. Plus that ace pot is ripe for the pickin'. All our CTP's changed hand a lot today, but our final pimps are, Nick Brost hole 1, Jon Plotkey hole 6, Brett Portter hole 11, and Raury Seagreen hole 15. Every one have a happy Thanksgiving and we will see you Saturday morning.

Well thats what i am saying! CTP winners this week are Nathan Skinner hole 5, Taylor O'Sullivan hole 8, Al Fetta hole 10, and Greg Pothier hole 13. see ya next week!!

What no redraw?!!!
For some reason it just didn't feel like Saturday morning dubs due to no redraw, it threw me off a bit. The other thing is how amazed people were when they found out they get to keep the same partner they drew. It turned out to be a great morning with minimum winds. CTP winners are Nick Brost hole 4, Cody Britton hole 9, Al Fetta, hole 12, and Brett Portter hole 15.

Fun wet round today but 12 of us woke up this morning to play. Disc golf is always a good thing to do first to start out a new year. Our CTP winners this morning were Jason James hole 1, Josh Hendley hole 4 and 11, and Greg Pothier hole 15.

Very challenging morning
It seemed like more work then fun today at Alexander, but everyone kept in good spirits. I think that might have been the windiest round yet. The ace fund keeps climbing, it's now at 533!!! Our CTP winner's this week Nathan Garner hole 5, Cody Britton hole 8, Justin Holtzer hole 12, and Gaddis hole 14.

24 Thats more like it
The weather is slowly warming up, so come out and try to take a chunk out of the ace fund. We had a good group come out this morning. The level of competition is very high, and a lot of the newer players(and some locals) are showing tremendous improvement. I really can't wait till spring comes! our CTP winners this week are Craig Hughes hole 1, Phillip Belt hole 6, $Dollar$ hole 10, and Greg Pothier hole 13.

Thanks Guys
Thanks to all of you that continue to come out and try to hit that ace. The GSSS #1 will be his weekend so Cody is going to run dubs for me. I've been thinking Raury or Cody is going to hit an ace soon, but they keep on waisting them on the warm up shot. Our CTP winners were Nick Evens hole 2, Raury Seagreen hole 4 & 17, and Cody Britton hole 11. Have fun this Saturday the weather will be great. Oh and Cody keep the no redraw streak going! Also good luck to all Team Alexander players that are playing in the GSSS at Wills this weekend

More new people
Thanks to all who showed, and thanks to a hand full of new players. Cody did a good job at running dubs for me while I was sucking at GSSS #1. He did manage to blow my record for no redraws this year. I had a hard time posting scores tonight because nobody put last names on the card. We have about 5 Mike's, Davids, Matt's, Chris's, I can go on and on. Any ways Cody wanted someone to hit and ace this week so he made front nine blue and back nine reds, but nobody could put it in the bucket. So the ace pots is still full and ready for this weekend. Our CTP winners this week are "W" hole 1, Matt Rudzinski hole 5, Clunck hole 13, and Cody Britton hole 16. Thanks again to Cody and I will see everyone this Saturday

What a Great Morning
40 players showed up to join in some early spring disc golf weather. That groundhog was not lying! All 20 teams shot under par, and we had a close call on the redraw but we managed to work it out. :) Congratulations to JK for hitting an ace on hole 2 today(326ft). Our CTP winners this week are Cody Britton hole 3, David Evans hole 8, Wayne Russell hole 10, and Mark Spaugh hole 14. Once again thanks to all regulars, and as always the hand full of new players for making Team Alexander the best doubles league in Gwinnett!

A 45 (-9) took the action and 4 48's played off for the last 3 spots.

No rain this morning!!
So basically if you bring an umbrella it will not rain because we had a great morning. Again some tight scores and of course a few new faces came to play. Our CTP winners were Mike Alessi holes 4 and 13, David Martin hole 6, and Cody Britton hole 10. I want to give a big thanks to both Woody and Chop for running the action while I was AWOL. Oh crap I just remembered I will be out of town next weekend at Jekyll Island enjoying some fun in the sun with my family. So once again (for those of you that need help understanding what I'm mean) I will not be at dubs next week.DISC GOLF!!!

GREAT MORNING!!!
38 players nice turn out! Comcast South came out and did some camera work and played a round. They never played before, but are looking forward to getting into the game more. Lots of new faces today, and lots of old faces came to visit. We had some weird scores today. No wind, no rain, no snow and yet a 45 won today. I thought for sure 13 down would take it(that is what I told the Comcast Dude). CTP winners this week are Dustin P. hole 2, Paul Derr hole 6, Phillip Belt hole 12, Zak Kemmer hole 15, and the GDGO gave a CFR Mako(AAA 2) to promote Alexander Aerial Armada 3 coming Aug 6th for a CTP prize on hole 8 and that went to Mike Alessi. I still have the results from last week that I have to post, but I will not be able to get to it till tomorrow

Our CTP winners this week were Mike Alessi hole 1, Criag Dye hole 5, Adam S. hole 11, and John Ritger hole 13. I forgot to tell everyone I will not be here the next two Saturdays. I will be heading up to MA to visit family and to play in the Borderlands Spring Fling. My first B tier event. All you guys are great and I will try and represent for GA! Good to be back
It's always nice to come back from vacation and win dubs! Brad was lucky to have me as a partner. :) Great turnout with 30 players and a hand full of new players as usual. Our CTP winners are Brad Hammock holes 2 and 6, Mike Martin hole 10, and Carter Honeycut hole 15.

Sign ups are up and running for the 2011 Aerial Armada III field open to 90 players. Chop also informed us today about today being the last day to sign up for the Gwinnett tag league. I believe he said $20. Also Cody would like to see if he could start some singles action at Alex most likely Tuesday evenings. He will have a Pro division and an AM division. If you think it would be something you could make it out to just send a quick post so Cody can go ahead and make sure he gets Tuesdays off from work to run the action. Thanks guys

2 "s 50, 2 51's took the 4 spots with Matt R and his partner taking 1st (sorry lost the paper I was writing this all down on?)

Whats the Skinny on Dubs? Its it fairly beginner friendly? I have a tendency to for better words or less suck at Alexander for some reason. Dont want to make someone's dubs experience bad.

If your money is green and you are willing to part with it, you're welcome!!
Its random draw so you could get a good player or someone like you. :roll:
It is the best way to learn because you get to see how two people can play the same shot.
Atmosphere is always friendly so you will not ruin somebody's morning.

Greg, I won't be able to cover you for the next 3 weeks but I got this week. There were 2 45's playing off for first when I left PT and Raury vs Brett Porter and his partner. No aces. Dropped the money and cards at Discstalker.
CTP's

Great to be back
After being gone for at least 3 weeks it was good to back playing with Team Alexander. We had at least 8 new players show up this week. I can't believe that there was hardly no sign of wind this morning. Our CTP winners this week are Hole 2 Bobby Bausum, Hole 5 Mike Alessi(with an ace run), Hole 12 Brad Hammock, and hole 14 Mark Spaugh

ACE HAS BEEN HIT!!!
Congratulations to Matt Rudzinski for nailing hole 5 today at dubs(243). Don't worry my friends still got plenty in the fund to pay out another. We all know the way Alex Dubs go and that is there will be another ace in a week or two. CTP winners this week hole 4 Cody Britton, hole 6 Brad Hammock, hole 11 Talor O'Sullivan, and hole 15 Chim Chim

Another big day today
I was right, within a few weeks another ace will be hit! Congrats to Phillip Belt for hitting hole 8(218) this morning. Also congratulations to Rob Kelley for getting in a round of disc golf before his wedding this evening. :) I did not run dubs this morning due to my son's soccer game so I do not have CTP winners, but I did drive out to give Phillip his ace money. 30 people showed this morning and once again a hand full of new players came out to join us. See you guys next week!

Last but not least our CTP winners hole 3 Nick Brost, hole 10 TJ, hole 12 Al Fetta, hole 15 JR. See you guys tomorrow!

Only had 15 this morning but had close score so it made for some fun. CTP winners are hole 1 and 11 Raury and JK(partners), hole 4 Greg pothier, hole 15 Brett Portter. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and we will see you next weekend.

Also Disc Stalker and I are hosting a Toys for Tots dubs tourney Dec 3rd. $20 or a gift to play. Pro/AM first round random draw dubs(one pro one am), nice catered lunch, second round same partner but we will be playing singles. At the end we will be totaling up all 3 scores for your final team score. Should be fun and something different.

Merry Christmas!
Once again as always some tight scores, and new faces. Why is it that is was so nice all week, then when Saturday morning hits it cold and windy? Any ways, I would first off like to say CONGRATULATIONS to Mike Alessi for being the first to hit an ace on hole 5 new pin position! What did he throw you ask? His Meteor. He takes home a mind blowing $57. Everyone is playing very well these days so that ace pot is not growing. :) Our CTP winners are Brett Porter hole 4, Corey P. hole 6, Andy Campbell hole 13, and Mike Martin hole 17.

I will not be in town next week and it is Christmas Eve, but that does not mean action is not still on. Not sure how many will show, but have fun! Have a safe and happy holiday and I will see you in a few weeks!

Happy holidays to Atlanta golfers

Visiting sister and wondering if your dubs will be happening tomorrow. Love to play if folks rally on Xmas eve.

Peace

I imagine they will. They typically get 25-30 people (or more) for the doubles action on Saturdays.

yes no doubles that weekend, sorry. GCO is a B tier this year so both saturday and sunday Alexander park and Lenora park will be full. You are more then welcome to stop by and watch some of the top players in the area play, and while your at it you can stop by Disc Stalker our local disc golf pro shop and get any disc you can think of and even get a custom print as well.
