Glow devices would be the players task to come up with. I have bought a few LED key chain lights that I tape to the bottom of the disc (option 1 below). If you can find some little ones, they'll work good on a stable disc. Most go for the last option (6) since they are the lightest.

Disc LED light options
1. http://www.theledlight.com/inova-microlight.html (costly, but easy to get golfing first)
2. http://www.nightdiscgolf.com/disc_lights.html (items can be bought at Radio Shack for less cost)
3. http://www.flashflight.com/holeinone/index.shtml (downside: you have to drill a hole in your disc )
4. http://www.blackjaxsports.com/PRODUCTS/ ... roPOD.html (looks like you have to drill this one too)
5. http://www.everythingdiscgolf.com/manuf ... turerid=33 (LED are in the disc!! never tried these though)
6. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000W785EE (these work, but are not the brightest around... they are the lightest!!)

Basket Light options
1. http://www.blackjaxsports.com/shop/inde ... ducts_id=8 (this is by far the best set up I've seen!!)
2. Glow sticks (could be had for cheap after halloween discounts)
3. any kind of camping LED light I guess

Never mind!!! Looks like a bit of rain is going to fall..... maybe next week!!

I'll get glow sticks for the baksets.... but that's all I can provide. I can bring a flashlight if you want to bring glow discs, but they don't glow too well. Anyone have a portable blacklight?? They work best.

Hope that atleast 4 people show :?

I was thinking about 7pm.... but maybe we could start at 6-6:30 ? The park closes at 11 I think, if it has changed, we'll have to figure something out. One thing is : I don't plan on golfing till 11 at night!!! I'd like to be done by 9:30 so 6:00 or 6:30 should give us the ending time we want.

No glow stratus' are allowed for glo-golf, sorry!! 8)

That might be doable. We could hit Stevi-Bs on the way...will have our daughter though. I was a nuke mechanic but she doesn't glow.

Next Tuesday = Wind: From N at 3 mph
Max. Humidity: 79%
Sunset: 5:32 PM ET
Avg. Low: 40°F

I'm thinking start @ 6:30.... that should give us the finish time we are seeking and it should be pretty dark by then.

I'll pick up some glow sticks for the baskets.... Last time I checked, Sports Authority had a few of the light up pods that require the disc to be drilled in the middle, then they snap in the hole. I haven't tried any of these types, but I may give it a shot since I have a few discs that I could dedicate for Glo golf. They had them on clearance sale about 2 weeks ago. I'll stop by and take a look to see if they have a few left, if so, I'll grab a few and keep a tool that cuts holes in plastic in case anyone wants to use one (and doesn't mind a hole getting cut into their plastic)

I'm hoping to beat last weeks attendance!! :P

Same time, same place!! I'll try tp pick up a few more glow sticks (for the baskets) at the dollar store.

Bring your LED's for your discs.... I believe that Radio Shack sells LED's and you can wire them to a watch battery if you're crafty. :?

Or buy a small LED light key chain and tape it to your discs..... that's the easiest way!!! See top thread for LED options!!!

Target sells the Innova ones (what better LED to put on you discs??)

T-minus 7 hours !!

Glow discs don't work too well unless you have a flash-bag, or a portable blacklight (best as your eyes won't be temp. blind)

Great weather tonight!!! 50* till 9pm.

Thanks to all that came out!! Almost doubled the attendance this week just about!

Perfect weather at 55*, no wind, and fairly visible conditions even with cloudy cover. There was a little fog, but not too much.
Woody wins with a 7 down making 60ft putts in the dark  , Sausage Panther first loser with 5 down missing 15ft putts (in daylight or dark)

I'm expecting a great turnout next week since so many showed up tonight!
Next week we'll have an almost full moon (full moon Wed.), hopefully clear skies and we won't need to light the baskets. 8)

Keep checking here for updates

I bought some stuff for night golf at the rat shack last week and I was not thrilled with the light output.

We went to Frys tonight and found some LEDs with the warning "Do not look into LED, could cause permanent damage"

They are expensive, 5 are 19 dollars but they are MOFO bright...10 candela where most are fractions of a single candela.

The standard LEDs at radio shack were 26mcd and these are 10000mcd.

They do need a resistor or you will eat your battery and probably fry the LED too but a little 1/4w resistor adds nothing to weight...in fact it added the same 4g as not using one...the tape and battery is where the weight is.

I also scaled down to a 2016 battery because it is thinner, I have an LED and battery running right now so I can see how long they last so I will report back on that.

Here are the part numbers from Frys:

Linrose B4304H91 5 pack LED $18.99
QW162-25 620 ohm 25 pack 1/4w 1.99
2016 Battery 1.49

Again it is pricey but these LEDs are BRIGHT. I didn't like the 2-LED setup because they always seemed to have a sketchy connection.

Pricey, but it should be cool to watch flying through the air. Last time I used a single LED placed in the center of the disc and it was kind of cool because you couldn't tell what angle the disc was at, it would just weave through the air like magic. I ordered some of the disc golf led lights with the tiny cilinder battery for use next week. I think i'll place one light on each side of the disc so I can watch the angle next time.

Well the 5LEDs and the resistors are enough to do 5 discs so 4 bucks a piece and once you add the battery its 5.50, so not too bad really.

Too bad you weren't there.

I'm sure you exploded at the bomb Aviation course. Lose any in the lake?

Little late in the season, I just stumbled across this thread while bored at work.

Up here in TN a group of us play glow each week and for what its worth the LED option #4 (blackjax areopod)in this thread are the best we have come by, been using them for over a year now.

yes you have to drill holes in a disc or few, but who doesnt have a couple ole champ discs laying around to use.
if not hit up the play it again used bin.

keep in mind they tend to make a disc more understable so max weights or at least 170's tend to work best

they take two 2016 batteries (included) so that the anly real expense later

they are very rugged as proven by the many trees we've hit in the dark, weve never broke one

we recently ordered 20 directly from blackjax website ( i called the guy actually) he was very cool, gave a discount
with shipping and all it was 108 bucks, basically a couple bucks off each

the solid colors are $7, the multi (changes color) are $9 i think...........but he'll give you a deal, even threw in a shirt and i ordered on a friday and got on tuesday

anyway hope this helps for the future, glow golf is awesome, even witnessed our first glow ace a while back

Dismal attendance :/
Perfect weather once again! Clear skies, almost zero wind, and now we have new light sticks to glow the baskets.
A great battle ensued on the course with the lead changing every other hole. Great putts were made, some were in excess of 50ft!
A new glow record was recorded! :P
11 under par!!

Thanks to all that attended, see you next week (weather & work permitting)

Glow golf @ Lenora.... It's what for dinner.
Bit mushy out, my back is all janked-up, but I'll still be out tonight if anyone wants to waste their Tuesday evening playing blind.
