I put the Rec players as the same tee's as everyone else..... chime in and let me know if you folks feel differently about that and we can change it.
Other option is to have the Rec players play short/short tee's

Imran wrote:Will the Am payout be in cash?

Good question...
Pro's & Am's will get cash payouts with an option to buy some Perkerson plastic at a discounted rate. This way the money used to buy Perkerson CFR discs will be invested back into the park fund... sweet deal for everyone!!

***Please remember that we are creating a presence in the park and we'd like for it to be positive one for us (the golfers) and for the surrounding community (kids, nieghbors, dog-walkers ((even the evil girl)), tennis players, bums, and anyone else that we encounter at the park)

Also remember to thanks John Ritger for all his hard work!!!! Perkerson Park Disc Golf Course/Club is really gaining ground and he is the main force behind it to become a reality for a permanent DGC. One of the best ways to thank him is by buying a few discs with the sweet PP stamp provided by ATL (Andrew Lofstrand).

I can't make it to the first one (going to see the Thrashers 8) ) but I would love to make it to the second one. Quick question though. I pretty much bring my 11 year old son Justin to play whenever I go out now and I am just wondering if he is welcome to play here even if he plays with the other AM people (maybe even on my card)? I have had the chance to play Perkerson a couple of times and have told him how nice it is but we can't ever get down there on Wednesday nights. Thoughts? Any other Juniors going to be there?

Everyone is welcome!!!... but I don't know about adding him to your card. Some people might object to this as they are paying-in money for a chance to win some money.
There should be a few poeple that will be playing Rec Division which is a free division.... Do you think he would mind playing in one of thier groups?
I personally wouldn't mind someone's kid tagging along with them and playing in my group, but I can't speak for everyone else, and like I said.... some people may have a problem with that.

We'll see what we can work out  maybe I can fit you & him in a group that wouldn't mind

Thanks,

He can play on anther card, that total fine. He has played enough tournaments now that he knows his etiquette quite well and should not be distracting at all. We will defiantly try to be there.

Thanks again!

Craig - I am hoping to bring my son out a little more often too and hope to get him down to Perkerson. I am not sure that he will make this first trip because he is playing in the GCO, but he'll likely be at the second.

Good deal! Yeah, we won't be at the first one either. We will shoot to be there on the second as well. Justin and I are both signed up for the GCO so we'll see you there.

Corndawg: cost is free to rec players.

but word of wisdom... pay the 10 dollars and play up. Its a cheap event and not sanctioned so the playing up will only aid you in your quest to get better. Plus, last year I made the mistake of playing rec... believe me...playing from the long tees and getting to see perkerson at its best is def worth the 10 dollars.

So all in all:

10 for Am

and bring 20 to buy a disc and help aid johns hope to one day have this beast permanently installed.

we put down free for rec but will probably be $1 depending on how many show .... the park is charging us $50 to use the park, so if 50 people $1 each ... if 25 $2 each
