As for camping:

Remember that we always give 30 minutes or so after the player's meeting until tee off, so there's a chance to get some throwing in then.

Also remember that you can warm up in the Park before they open the gate... you even have your own, private disc golf course in there (plus a huge field to throw in).

It is also possible (though non-trivial) to talk from the campground to the course.

Directly across from the first set of campsites is the horse trail. If you follow that, it will turn left (at the fence), follow it around for, hell, I dunno. Maybe a half mile? An old road bed / trail will split off from the trail and angle down to the right, that ends at a gate which is next to Hole 11's tee.

So, not ideal, but..

Alright! Flying Eye '09! Looking forward to it!

Side question, though:
Through signup several sponsor disc options offered (O Roc, Ultrastar and mini Star).
I see the design for this year's tournament and it looks great!
[The full color pairing, full-size and mini, of eyes flying through the woods from a couple of years ago are of my favorite of mantle piece discs.]
What is going to be on the discs offered online? Are pictures available?
I have also seen a color picture of the design. Will full color discs be available?
Does not affect if'n or if'n not my signing up.
Just curious and imagine others might be as well.

Later,
C

The Ultrastars and minis won't have the tie-dye background, it will be on a plain white background.

Thanks Doug and Dusty.
Full-size stamp on all, then [as oppose to a mini stamp (nevermind, dumb question, mini stamp would not look good on an ultrastar)] ?

You're right, R; but what really haunts me are all the glow discs, frisbees and minis scattered around, especially the superglow.
No need for nightlights 8) .

How close to Sanford Stadium is this course? UGA has a big game the same w/e and I'm trying to figure out which way to come in.

UGA is playing Tenn @Tenn on the 10th for the AM weekend?
UGA is playing Vandy @Vandy on the 17th for the PRO weekend?

Unless my ESPN UGA schedule is lying to me?

First thing we look at when scheduling this tournament is the football schedule. Have to cross off any weekend with a home game...

I'm pretty sure you have to be a PDGA member to play in A tier events. You don't want to miss this. The course is the best that you will find in Georgia. You will play in this for as long as they hold a tournament.

There will very likely be a party for am weekend. Unfortunately we can't have it at Terrapin (where the Pro party is) because they're booked already, so we're working on finding a good place for it.

We still need hole sponsors. $25.00 will get you a big thank you and a tee sign at the hole of your choice. The dead line will be 10/7/09 to be in the program. Please contact me at 706-215-1094 if you are interested.

The course will be open on Wednesday-Friday. We will be having league doubles on Weds at 4?

There are only a few days left for Ams to sign up so do it now or be left out.

Want to remind y'all (or, if you haven't heard, tell y'all) that Johnny's Pizza and Subs will be taking lunch orders in the morning on Saturday and they'll deliver them all to you for a nice, relaxing lunch.

That way all you'll have to do is hang out, think about all the birdies you'll be getting in the second round, and show everyone your massive speed putting skills.

 I just called to reserve a campsite, as this was my inexpensive plan. Campground is locked (with campers locked in) until 8am so there is hardly time to get to the course in time for 8:20 players meeting. Definately no warmup. This is NOT GOOD. Is there any other camping anywhere nearby other than sandy creek that doesn't trap the campers?

Doug/Jon.... I cannot play this weekend as I am broke with not enough money to cover entry. I do want to throw some money your way for your hard work.... maybe a sponsor or just donate a few bucks to get a Roc if any are left.
I really wanted to play, but I got a speeding ticket and now have to pay some fines...whoops!

Can I show up Saturday and give the money then?

He's an uppity reggin. Don't all reggins have entourages? I've never played with the guy and I haven't "officially" met him, but I don't ever want to play with him. All of the Augusta locals and most other people that have met him.....hate him.

I haven't met him and I want to slap him,.or at least the worthless entourage that worship him.
How low can you be to take orders from an Advanced AM(no offense to ams) who only takes 5th
or 6th at a tournament? Okay, Brett Porter Action League! (Just joking Brett, of course!)

Did you pull an all nighter? I want to see how my horrible rounds are rated. Probably higher than they will be during the Pro weekend.

I had no internet at home last night. They are entered into the spreadsheet and will be uploaded when I pull my laptop out today.

Looks like Flynn is the only one who remembered how to play there since Valentine's Day.

Hopefully the rest of the guys will remember before March 20th or 27th, 2010.

Thanks to Doug Porter, Jon Morgan and everyone else for putting on another great event at the best course on our planet. Also, my apologies for missing the awards ceremony. I forgot how fast that crew turns things around. Also, my apologies to anyone who witnessed the shouting match between Woody and myself ( I did most of the shouting) due to a misunderstanding and escalating tempers. It was completely unworthy of such an event and venue. I look forward to many more years at The Crucible.

Woody must have been upset because he was so close to the hind tit all weekend.

My post was not meant to provoke response. It was simply a spat between otherwise good friends that unfortunately happened in public. Again, my apologies. Especially to Woody.

If anyone found a gray pullover wih a red handwarmer in the pocket, its mine.
I left it hanging on the temp barrier by tourney central.
Not sure if I want to drive to Athens to get it, but if you are playing Lost in the
woods or primoplastic and wouldnt mind bringing it with ya that would be great.
