found a couple of unscene hazards today.
1st is a hornets nest in the shule on the second hole in front of the red tee. My son put a disc 2 ft away from it. Strange a hornets nest this size is in a ditch.

2nd rattle snake in area along fence of hole number 3.

Stay alert and be safe. I am calling the county in the morning to try and take care of the hornets nest.

Oh one other thing my son sent a disc swimming on 17 near the alder bushes it is a cheetah if anyone dredges one out of the lake.

Hornets nest I can see. Rattlesnake would be news for this part of the woods...

The rattle snake was a definate. Head was about 2 1/2inches wide. almost 3ft long. had about 6 rattles. this was all estimated post mortum for the snake. Man with large walking stick killed it. I hope it was the only one. I was more worried about the hornets nest as I can only throw straight when i dont want to.

The chances of you getting bit by a rattlesnake in Georgia is almost non-existent. Usually snakes like to hide and not be seen. If you leave them alone they will go away never to be seen again. Most people that get bit by snakes are either trying to capture it or trying to kill it. If you are worried about your safety stay off the interstates and stay on the disc golf course. Long live the snakes

a guy from work killed a rattle snake a week ago in villa rica. he said it had 7 buttons. They are around here.

county cut the shule on the front side today, the hornets nest is still there but can be easily seen now. it is in front of red tee #2 about 50ft to the left. it looks great out there now.

Did they find a bunch of discs in the shule? someone should spray roundup in there so it doesn't grow back.

Watch the tree by the basket on 12. Looks like a butt crack...has a massive yellow jacket nest in it.

Just letting everyone know that with this recent round of rain the course has turned to mud. If you are thinking of playing it any time soon make sure to give the course at least 2 days to dry out otherwise 4, 10 & 11 will be super dangerous.

The bridge that crossed the creek between hole 11 and 12 floated back to the dam today.
I pulled the bridge out of the lake onto the dam. Two of White Oak’s disc golfers Gerald and Wayne very generously hauled the bridge back to the creek and set the bridge near the creek. Unfortunately they set the bridge on a yellow jacket nest (Wayne three stings and Gerald one sting). So please do not move the bridge until the yellow jacket nest has been taken care of.
