Question about this video

Postby Anthony » Sat Aug 01, 2009 8:28 am

I was watching a video from Discraft and had a question for you guys.
first off here's the video---->Lond Distance Drives

All of the pro guys start their throw out to the left and get it to come back right. All of them are throwing overstable distance drivers. That last guy that throws the furthest is throwing a predator which has a sability of 2.5. It didn't look like they were throwing them anhyser?

How are they doing that? Mine always will hyser like a champ when I throw a distance driver. Do I just not throw hard enough?

How long have you been playing? They throw far and turn over overstable plastic because

1. they are pro level and have the technique down
2. they practice, they probably devote entire practice sessions just to tailor certain shots and form

the longer you play the more your arm speed and form should develop. Discs that used to fly strait now flip because you can now over torque them. For the most distance throw a disc that will flip a little and come back giving you that "S" line. The harder the snap and arm speed you give a disc, the better it will flip over. At first that disc might be a teebird or leopard. The better and more developed your form gets you will move up to a more overstable disc like a wraith or destroyer.

You aren't doing anything wrong, you are just throwing plastic that is too overstable for what you are trying to accomplish right now.
