Each division winner gets a very nice trophy!!!
All are different, yet almost the same size (glass Pheonix)... the bases were very hard to get the same size with each since I had to break them into pieces. All are unique and will be a great addition to the trophy wall or as a center piece on your dinner table![]()
The glass is very fragile and I'm not sure if we'll have them for display for long at the tournament. I'll have one out for people to look at, but I don't want to come up with a game plan if one gets broken... I do have a back up plan, but not a back up trophy.![]()
A decent amount of time was put into these trophies and I hope that they will reflect the amount of pride that John has for Perkerson Park. The bottoms are lined with soft carpet (actually wall covering that looks like carpet) and will not scratch anything that you set them on.
Please take a look at the CFR's and other discs that John has for sale.... they are very nice also!!!! Don't pass up the deal for buying them:
Buy before & at the tournament deals:
All champion discs (Teebird-L, Firebird, Monarch)
$13 each
2 for $25
3 for $36
All CFR discs (Champion Glo Firebird-L, Champion Glo No Bead Aviar & Champion Destroyer)
$20 each
Buying these discs will help raise money for the charity:
The Sullivan Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located just 3 blocks from Perkerson Park - their mission is to prevent homelessness through education, financial and referral resources. Website = http://www.thesullivancenter.org/
Please donate as much money as you can to the tournament as this will go a long way in helping to make Perkerson Park a permenant course, the first 18 hole course inside the perimeter and the first course inside of Atlanta city limits!!!!!

We'll also be doing a "Park Pride" clean up day the Sunday before the tournament (2-1-09)
We'll be focusing on cleaning out the tree's in the river bed (as long as there's no rain before that), also cleaning up trash around the course, a basic course on invasive plants and how they affect the park, clearing of a few areas that invasive plants are taking over, a basic idea of the "wooded holes" and walking trails that are in the future plans, and eat some food provided by Sausage Panther catering service (me & my grill)..... all for free!!
I'll post pics of the trophies, but the plates are not done yet..... I have made paper ones to give an idea of what will be.... pics posted later after I eat dinner.![]()
Support the cause (Sullivan Center) and support the course (Perkerson Park & John Ritger)

Payout will be very similar to last year....entry fees are going mostly to charity. Everyone gets a fat players pack (nice disc & killer food) and nice trophies for 1st in all divisions. We'll have a bunch of schwag from sponsors given to top finishers in divisions & via CTPs. There will be ~$500 in innova stuff, some show tickets, some gift certs to local restaurants, some PP plastic, maybe a ladder, possibly beer, and whatever else i can drum up in the next 3 weeks. Finding sponsors has been much tougher this year than last. 1st-3rd will get $30/$20/$10 in payout.
