For us out of towners, where is this course? I am thinking of trying to get some people to come down, i like sunday events!

Someone at the Pam Childs tourny was telling me that this course was pretty sweet and worth checking out......

If i do come i have 2 baskets and maybe more depending on who's driving.

Definitly worth the drive! Old growth trees, elevation changes and lots of OB.

3rd - $130
4th - $100
5th - $80

Pay 35% of field.

Results links posted in top post of this thread

18 -- moving the pad back 25' made the hole tremendously harder...25 Open Players had 6% birdies....this one is going back to the shorter position and the perfect bell curve of scores

17 -- played WAY harder. only 1 birdie in 82 rounds of advanced/open.

9 -- fixed. much better scoring distribution

I put in estimated SSA's and round ratings for the adv & open divs, but not enough rec players to calculate it. Played about 2.5 strokes harder during the first round.

For next time....
Wade has been giving excellent feedback on the short tees and he is taking the stance that they make a better course than the long tees. Several of the holes are definitely as good or better looks than the long tees. Maybe the next 2 rounder we'll do long tees in rd 1, shorter tees in rd 2....it wouldn't be a par 61 for open/adv but wouldn't be a par 54 either. We're also looking at combining 9 & 13 into a tough par 5 cause hole 13 kinda sucks, IMO....maybe playing that as a par 5 & reviving "old 4"...

not sure if there will be january action yet, might be in savannah...details on 2/8/08 icebowl will be up this week.

sounds like a good idea to try

also sounds good. I almost never birdie 13 so getting rid of it is always good.
