The tournament discs are in. Sign up now to reserve your players pack disc. All three divisions will get a players pack disc. The discs are really sweet. I only ordered 20 aviars and they are all nice. If I knew they were going to be so sweet I would have ordred nothing but...Also got Destroyers, Rocs, San Marino Rocs and I think thats it. Get in now and get yours! The art work looks really good on these dogs.

Pick your partner and sign up for two rounds of 24 holes at Toccoa's Roselane Park.

This just in!

I am going to offer another division for this years Fright Flight Dad/Jr. Entry fee will be the same as Mixed and dad can be in the Wizards division (term coined by Michael Burton) but the jr has to be 14 years old or younger. Currently Bob Johnson and Griffin are the only challengers. Dad and daughter mom and son mom and daughter or any combination are all welcome.

Rand,

While this sounds like a good idea, can you give us some more details??

With the normal format being "best shot", I do not think this would be the way to play this division. Otherwise it would be just the adults shots being used (except in Bobs group...LOL). Maybe for this division "alternate shot" would be the best way to go.

What do ya think??

In my case, if I was playing with my daughter, it would be cool to let her play from the junior tees. We would still be using my throws, but she would feel like she was doing something. Alternate shot would be tough because of the age range that may occur with any juniors that may be involved.

Mike - I think that it would slow things down too much. I let Griffin putt first and inevitably I shule out on some holes and use his shot. Also, it'll put a little more pressure on the kid if we use alternate shot and it is supposed to be all about the fun. I say just play straight up and have a good time. I really do not care if the participants get anything for winning. Griffin and I had a blast and I just asked Rand to consider it. Let's all play from the short tees straight up and have a good time.

I like Bob's idea, but Jay makes a good point about Jr tees. Mike, alternate shot wouldnt offer as much golf as best shot. Yall let me know what the popular opinion is and we will make it happen.

I just picked up the tournament stamped tshirts today from Jordy. They look really good with a "Jason" mask on the front left chest and the stamp on the back. Quality Hanes tagless Ts going for $10 each. The money will help pay for the course fee. Fright Flight the 13th is coming up so get your money in and get ready to BREW it up!

Dont forget that 'more action than a dog track' translates into each hole is a $1 CTP. Pros will have their own set of flags and so will the Ams. $26 pays for all holes both rounds and includes the $2 Ace fund. MAJOR action

Pro plays two rounds of 24 from the long tees to long pins and Am and other divisions play two rounds of 24 from the short tees. I have the tshirts they look really good with Jason mask on front left and the tourney stamp in black on the back. High quality tagless Hanes shirts. Get yours now or reserve it now for $10...limited supply.

Get your partner and get in the clock is ticking.

Only 9 team spots remain until FULL

See top post for info and preregistered teams.

Dont forget that each hole will be a $1 CTP for both divisions (Mixed and Pop and Pup considered AM). There will be two CTP flags on all 24 holes one for pro and the other for am. Bring some extra bread to get in on a chance to cash out. Remeber this is considered side action, so ams will have a chance to win cash for CTPs. CTPs will go for both rounds, closest shot at the end of the tournament wins. You have to pay for the hole if you plan on moving the flag. I have plenty of orange flags, but need some flags that are another color if anyone has some let me know.

Rand... I'll stop by Home Depot and get some Blue flags if needed. 24 would be enough right?

thanks Josh. 24 is enough. I need to sell some shirts to pay for the course fee among other fees. I didnt have time to generate a lot of sponsorship this year, so whoever buys a shirt will be helping the tournament out. Thanks

Could someone post a succinct description of the course compared to those found in the Atlanta area (ERP, Central, Redan, etc....)? Many thanks...

Mostly open with great elevation. Some holes play in and around trees, not really woods. It's pretty straight forward. I would say right between Central and ERP.

Its great to see the Renz name again.

For those of you new to the Atlanta disc golf scene, The Renz boys (Ryan & Scott) are some of the best disc golfers to have graced our courses. I for one hope this means they are going to start playing more.

Welcome back guys!!

hahahaha.

Ryan and great in the same sentence. Now that's funny right there. Wait...he is my partner. That's right folks, The Great Ryan Renz. What most people don't know is that Ryan has been training in MMA the last few years and plans on taking on Coach Leyva in an all out Texas Cage Death Match at Fright Flight. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

Thats a great team... if it were 2003.

Whats the hole over/under of when the first member of team "has-been" breaks a hip?

#1 Forrest has never been, so he cant exactly be a "has been"
#2 Does the over under begin with the tournamnet? I ask only because I took a nasty fall today (my hoveround hit a rock)
#3 Are you coming home so I can bend you over my knee and give you a birthday spanking?

Only 2 team spots left until FULL

See top post for registered teams. Yes Vern, thanks for reminding me. Brother John's Subs will be on sight at 8am taking orders for lunch. They will offer anything on their menu, so be prepared to pay for your lunch in cash in the morning.

IMPORTANT

We will TEE OFF at 10am, so be at the course early enough to get some warm up in, register for CTPs, check in, order lunch, buy a t-shirt, and whatever else. Lunch will only be one hour as time will be limited. Please tell everyone you know that is playing in the tournament.

Again, only 2 team spots remain...

At this rate the tournament will be full any minute.

Hey Rand,
Thanks for a great tournament. Ellie is very excited about the discs that you gave her....now she wants a bag. She was nervous about being so young, but everyone made her feel welcome. We had a great time and will be back next year for sure.
Let's see about getting together at Oregon sometime soon!
