3 rounds in 1 day?

Yes.

3rd round same rules as 1st and 2nd rounds?

NO. Blind draw dubs and use all your disc,

There will probably be some kind of action on Friday at the farm.
I know that a few of us will camp and party all weekend long.
We had 25 camp out at the made in the shade and expect the same this go around.

on Saturday the first round should be over around 12;30ish, then we will break for 1.5 hours
2nd round tee time around 2pm should end around 4;30
we will pass out prizes for the event and then set up some dubs. around 5;30
and party some more, I no last time at the made in the shade, brad bowman and a few others played glow golf all night long.

Just keep in mind we are all about having a good time and enjoying the company of our disc golf brothers and sisters.

We will also be at the farm this Sunday for some work and play. feel free to come check it out.

Where is "the farm"? SOunds like a good time, and i've been wanting to meet some folks to throw with.

The Farm is right across the street from Hurricane shoals park.

Directions to Hurricane Shoals Disc Golf Course

from Atlanta:
Take Interstate 85 N north from Atlanta. Exit at Dry Pond rd Exit #140. Turn right onto GA Highway 82. Follow GA 82 until it dead ends approx 2.5 miles and turn left onto GA 82 SPUR. Proceed on GA 82 SPUR toward Maysville, cross over Interstate 85 and go less than one mile. Take The second Entrance on the right after you cross over the North Oconee River Bridge
Take your first left and then an immediate right into the Disc Golf Parking lot Across from the 18-century village. Look for the big disc golf course sign.

From Athens
Take US Highway 129 north from Athens. Turn right at the first light in Jefferson onto Lee Street and proceed through downtown Jefferson and public square (two more lights). Lee Street will become Sycamore Street. After crossing Curry Creek and the second light, the road will soon split. Take the LEFT split onto GA Highway 82 toward Maysville. GA 82 will become GA 82 SPUR. Proceed to cross over Interstate 85 and go less that one-mile. Take The second Entrance on the right after you cross over the North Oconee River Bridge
Take your first left and then an immediate right into the Disc Golf Parking lot Across from the 18-century village.

The oak grove studios farm is across the street from the entrance of hurricane shoals park, 2nd drive way on the left. look for the oak grove studios sign. and Discraft banner out front.

Any ? please call.

The Discraft Ace Race Calendar page says you ARE having an Ace Race. Are both events going on at the same time?

Ridesbrd, Jay, Vern,Chris, I'm not sure what you guys are trying to ask me?

all of your questions are answered in the title.
Code: Select all
Southern Fried 07 Sept 2008 (not an ace race)

It is very clear. this is not a ace race!!!

We will be giving out a 2008 ace race package in the players pack.
if you are not sure what the players package is, well read the next line.
Player package:
Two identical Discraft discs, plus a SuperColor mini and a Discraft hat. A $55 value!

Second Discraft is well aware of what we are doing, "we" means the players disc golf club.
it is our club event --> southern fried VOL 1. The club has had ace race events in the past, we just wanted to mix it up a little. ace races are fun, but not as fun as playing a regular round using 1 disc.
Bottom line for discraft is to showcase the new prototype disc. we have accomplished that mission.

Understand that most of our players don't take this game as serious as most competitive disc golfers (pros.)
that being said we have nothing against pro players, I feel it is good for the sport to legitimize itself with top level players, hopefully it will inspire younger players to be like them. this big stage is for young players like our own Matt Dollar.

How ever a family man like myself and others cant find the time to make the commitment that it takes to play at 1000 or higher rated level. those players are rare. one of Our club goals is just to enjoy playing the game and enjoying our family and friends.

Let it be clear, this event is geared to newer and recreational players who are looking to increase there skills, and to have a good laid back time, just enjoying the disc golf experience.

So please contact me our raye if this event interest any of you the regular guys and gals.

We highly recommend that guys bring there mates, we have quite a few female players, we avg 8 females per event.

For any additional information please go back to the top and reread or contact us.
contact info in top post.
Take care.

But I guess It would be embarrassing for you if you were not win a Players Disc Golf Event.
common, you know its true.

you are only missing out on the friendliest bunch of disc golfers that you will ever meet.
We even have fun competition for kids.

relax sometime and just enjoy playing the game. wining or losing the game does not bother me.
having a good disc golf experience with my brothers and sisters is all that matters to me.

I always play for fun. I've yet to win a tournament. Unless you count the doubles action a few years back after the Ace Race. You know, the one when you stole from me and Joe Smith. I'm positive I would win against your followers though. Who couldn't beat a brood of inbred rednecks. Fun or not, I'll never play at one of your events because you're a liar and a fake. If you want to see Team Dongface in action then come home from work early tomorrow.

Sorry pal, you are nothing more than a loud mouth and a trouble maker. you are the liar jay.
It was your choice cash or plastic, not both. you even said I don't need any more plastic I want cash.
Who have you ever seen pay out both 100% cash plus 100 dollars of extra plastic in a blind draw casual dubs ?

One thing about the course it will consume your disc, so bring plenty of them.
The 3 river hole are some of the most challenging par 3 threes that you will every encounter.
Hole 23 at hurricane shoals sits on the same river.
The pond also eats them up. holes 8,9.16&17.
only 1 hole over 500feet. and that's hole 5.

The Quest Challenge is $30 dollars for men. 3 Disc players pack. as specified above.
Playing for a quest prize pack. and other items.

Female ams/ rec are only $10 1 disc players package.
adv females competitors $20 2 disc players pack, playing for prizes.
kids $10 they also get a disc.

Plus free lunch on Saturday after first round, bbq sandwich,
free camping on the farm Friday and Saturday. port a potty on site.

Campers need to be checked out by 12pm on Sunday. unless told otherwise.

On a sad note this last Friday, Brad bowman had a bad dirt bike accident, and broke his neck at the c3, broke his jaw, and his spine was fractured in two places, so please keep him in you prayers as he recovers.
Brad plays a lot at east Roswell, and central.
He also won the made in the shade tournament.
(God bless you crazy man. and get well soon.)

What I want to know is why the "W" and the "F" were important enough to get a period after them, but the "O" is just left hanging in the wind. The letter "O" is a very important one. After all you could just say it by itself and have a full expression right there! Try it now.... "O" ... See how easy it rolls off the tongue.
