Course layout may remain very similar to the June 2 tournament. This heat has made it rather difficult to accomplish much on the course, but we may still get creative and change it up some.

The grass has been cut on the more open holes, so the course will be open for play/practice.
You hear that, Mr. Anderson? That is the sound of inevitability. That is the sound of your death.

As of 8/23

We have finished the new holes except for putting the baskets in the ground.
Most definitely we will be playing a new layout again for next weekend. No one has ever played this layout, including me and Mr. Anderson.

except the tube blew off the dock. Now that Big Bertha is gone, it's barefoot or skis.

Unless someone brings a tube.

Course update

We have 12 little trees to cut to complete the third of 3 new holes. The mower started working today. The course is gonna look great, provided nothing breaks before the tournament.

See there, guys? Suddenly I have a chance for some money, and I don't have to make up a division, just plan it for a busy weekend and hope no one comes.

That's OK, Glenn Frey and Crazy Joe Walsh will be there. I have also been asked to post a new Am team:
Mike (couchin) Houchin and Wesley (New York) Matthews making their first visit to My Cousin Vinnie's course.

Hotdogs were great, but were they really ALL beef? The disc golf was great, the course looked and played great. Once again, I had a great time in Monticello. The Redan feel was a great touch as well. It was GREAT!!

Thanks,
James

Admittedly, the grub was onlyre decent. Hard to run a tournament and impress with food at the same time, so we chose low-labor food. All beef, James, all beef. Yours I think was medium-rare.

Look for the next tournament maybe around the Xmas holidays?? not sure. I'll keep ya'll "posted", har ahr harharharharharh

Look for oru

Thanks for recovering my disc, Redan Randy. That is my favorite turnover disc. The hotdogs were fine, Luke, just kidding. :) Thank your wife for the hospitality. Looking forward to the next tournament.

Luke/Rhonda/Chappy/Chris,
Thanks to all of you for all your hard work getting the course and food ready. This was my first time playing Monty, and enjoyed the course very much.

Thanks also to Redan Randy for foraging through the brambles on Hole 14 to locate my Starfire as well as several other users discs. I appreciate the thorns you took on my behalf.

For all those that care, my next order of business at the Monty is to clean up the nasty on #14. It should be gone for our next tournament.

Though this was our smallest field in 3 tournaments, that small field helped us to raise $122, the most we've done by 30 bucks! Thanks guys. Don't know what we'll be doing with it yet, but I've been bothering Mr. Anderson about a mower.

That'll be after a few MORE tournaments, of course.

Thanks for coming, guys.
