This news from Vicki Jacob on the new targets at Lenora:

"Hi Everyone, Thank you so much for all you've contributed financially and physically toward installing new DISCatcher baskets at Lenora Park. We had a great turnout of volunteers (coming out early on a rainy Saturday morning) and the County employees did an outstanding job of having all baskets assembled and ready to go. The new distinctive yellow bands look like jewels in the green grass of Lenora's park.
Thanks again, Vicki Jacob"

Twenty four Pre-Reg so far. I imagine the registrations will start rolling in signifigantly after the Stephens County event and the Alabama Disc Golf Championships this coming weekend. I'm really excited about seeing Lenora with all the new Yellow Bands! :D

Chris, What is the schedule for Saturday morning? The times were different on a flyer that I saw vs. what is on your website:

AM TAG COLLECTOR - I VOLUNTEER @ LENORA

Postby Vern » Fri May 02, 2008 10:06 am

I do not see that the "Tag Master Wookie" will be in attendance so I will volunteer to collect (AM ONLY) tags unless someone else wants to take on the responsibilty. You can meet me at my car (it is a Silver Element) to sign up and turn in your tag. I will disperse them after the rounds at my car as well. I WILL NOT BE SELLING TAGS.

Let's all join in and fellowship while we all participate in another enjoyable ADGO Tag Challenge at beautiful Lenora Park. 8)

Tournament statistics are up!!!

Postby TL » Mon May 05, 2008 1:43 am

After the phenomenal play of the young Will Shusterick.... Does it really matter what anyone else shot... I mean it is starting to look like everyone else bis playing for second... Will "Tiger" Shusterick (-24) on the day.

The tournament was a lot of fun for me to be able to see some really amazing shots aces all were all over the place and Forrest shot the course record in round one.

What a fun tourney hope to see all of you at Hotlanta.

I had a great time! It was good to see Lenora full of discgolfers again. The new baskets look and feel great. The rain pretty much held off. Forrest shot that sick 41, way to go Forrest! I am going to start drinking bucket sized Diet Cokes just like you! Thanks Solstice!

JW Funds Update...

Postby Gator » Mon May 05, 2008 12:36 pm

After collecting $60 dollars this weekend at this event, the Jim Warner Fund is now over $2,800. We are less than $2,200 from our goal of $5,000
(which will be matched by Jim's mom, Dorothy Wentz). This final $10,000 will give us the total of 25,000 needed to name a course after the late Jim Warner at Augusta's IDGC-remember we already gave $15,000 last year as a down payment. We are aiming to collect the needed funds by late August or early Fall . Thus- please continue to contribute at local tournaments and Doubles action.
Thanks Again ADGO and the entire ATL Disc Golf Community.
Sincerely-
Greg Guttinger
678-557-1699
PS- We still have discs for sale (Rocs and Wraiths mostly) for 8$ each.
Also, Tee shirts are on the way and we have a total of 99 discs left( 65 Jim Warner Fund Discs and 34 of Jim's personal collection). We will be selling/using these as CTP's until they are all gone.
