Keith - right now we are assured of at least a top 2 finish.

As the Grateful Dead sings, "Tennessee, Tennessee, there ain't no place I'd rather be, Baby won't you carry me back to Tennessee".

sweet $

Postby chattyJake » Tue Apr 15, 2008 3:19 pm

Last year we had 17 Open players. We added over $400 to the purse.....1st place took $500
We had 7 in the Pro Master. We added about $200 to that purse....1st place took $275.
Sounds good enough for people to come back for but here we are a few days away and we only have a few Pro's signed up. Where are you Atlanta?

Thanks to all the Atlanta players for making the trip up here for our little tourney.
In the cash was Paul LaPerre...Adv Gr. M
Matt Dollar, who was a tragedy away from being tied for 2nd for some good cash, managed to hold on to get a little money. Its always great to see Dollar.
Apparently Vern made off with a whole case of Moon Pies....I'm expecting a ransom note any time now. Thanks for visiting us again Vern.
Brett Rousseau took the Pro Master Division...nice win.
Thanks to all the others who played but didn't cash, I hope you all had a good time. Hopefully everyone can make it back for the Belchin Turkey in November.
18 Pro's $600 or so added.
10 Pro Mast $260 or so added.
Added a good chunk in every Am division as well.
1st place pro took $515 (Will Shusterick....Knoxville)

The Pro Masters can again thank my last 6 hole collapse from 2nd (1 stroke behind Brett) with 7 holes to go dropping me to 6th and out of the cash completely (usually I drop into a tie for last cash  ) going from 4 down to 4 over with seven holes to play, including 4 OB strokes in the last 4 holes. Loved the 2 courses, as they are a good complement to each other. If I ever learn to finish off a round, (4 over in the last 6 holes in round 1 also  ) I could be a good golfer.

See everyone next April!

Moonpies

Postby Laserman » Mon Apr 21, 2008 1:39 pm

I rode up with Vern and was shocked that he didn't bring his cart . When I aksed him about it all he said was something about leaving room for a "special prize". I figured it was Ying Ling but it turned out to be not one but TWO cases of moonpies!

CTP

Postby Mike D » Mon Apr 21, 2008 2:33 pm

Hey guys, now that the Grapevine Classic is past, make plans to attend Ridge Ferry Open III in May.

Looks like we will have a special CTP donated by Vern.

Hole 16 CTP will be for a case of Moonpies!!! :D Just kidding!!

Glad you guys had a good turnout, I really wish I could of made it. I love the "Sinks" and the "DAM" course.
Oh well, soccer season is almost over then I can start playing again.
