35 spots left! (unless someone got in before me!)
The big question is which of the other ones (besides Lake Russell) my wife will let me play?

This is a last warning to any Pros who wish to play, as if it wasn't for Bowling Green being the same weekend this would ALREADY be soldout.

Don't complain to me later, if you don't signup NOW!

10 SPOTS LEFT as of 11PM on FEB 21st

The Event probably will sell out by THIS WEEKEND!

There is a counter for the remaining spots so when it is full you will NOT be able to sign up for the event.

Wait list will be determined at a later date, but at this point after the last episode, will probably NOT happen. I could always change my mind, and for the right amount of sponsorship would reconsider.

Hey now, I was born prematurely and I've been makin' up for it ever since. Just hope my return is as dramatic.

My rating means I can play Advanced, but I wish you'd put me in Masters instead. Thanks Keith.

WAITLIST INFORMATION!

IF I do have a wiatlist it will not be decided or started until I return from Vegas and skiing in Colorado on the 11th of March, so PLEASE do not call, pm, or Email me asking about the waitlist.

Thanks again to everyone who did sign up, and keep in mind the best way to NOT get shut out is to signup for the 4 remaining Events, as you can always ask for your money back, but once it's full you CAN'T get in.

Updates for the remaining events are posted in the tournament thread.
(Lake Russell already has only 48 spots left!)

Of course, it's the big hug event of the year! All tourneys are great for the social aspect, but Lake Russell takes the prize every year. Thanks for stepping up early and TDing this one, Keith!! It's usually a question mark every year who will TD it. It's too special to let this one go away like the Squirrel events.

With the Wade Selph layout coming in at only 4521 ft, the longest hole being 360 ft, and only 4 holes being over 300 ft, par will be 36

C'mon sling, that was pretty funny.

Technically par will be 54 (can't really go lower) for Selph layout, and 55 at most (maybe par 4 hole 11) from other pads.

This will be the shortest course that will be played in the series, but it also has several areas that could cause extra shots if just a little off line, so it balances out the power courses.

I'm just gonna treat it as Father's Day and take it!

Wanna double down again Gomez?

How about a few hole sponsorships instead?

Thanks to Jeff Gomez for sponsoring hole 4!

Only 16 holes left to sponsor.

If anyone or any business would like to sponsor, I'll offer the Hole sponsorship for 25 dollars, or the Hole sponsorship and the Supercolor Event disc for only 35 dollars!

Here is your chance to help keep payouts strong, and to advertise your business or yourself to all the enthusiastic golfers and spectators that will be at Deerlick on the 29th.

You have until March 26 at 5PM to let me know if you are interested.

Thanks in advance and thanks again to our Platinum Sponsor
Tile and Marble Supply where you can get 15% off any products until the end of 2008 when using the flyer available at each event.

Just a reminder on times as there is less than 2 weeks to go!

Thanks to Dave Douglas, Wade Selph and Greg(I'll be there when most of the work is done  ) Campbell for help in prepping the course for the Event! Storms didn't do much there, and it's just the rains that added water to the course in spots that caused some issues, but everything is gonna be good to go for all on the 29th!

See everyone there.

Remember Deadline for sponsoring a tee sign for Deerlick is Monday March 24th at 5PM.

Please also remember that THE PLAYERS are who is listed as the Title Sponsor for now, so I could use your help in buying discs and tee signs, so that I can continue to give everyone the payouts you would like to see.
(Which have been over 200% for both AMS and PROS for the 1st two Events.)

Please do what you can, and thanks in advance for your support.

NEW INFO!

Thanks to Wade Selph, Jeff Gomez, and Scott Beutjer for their Tee sign support of the Deerlick event!

Tournament Central will be at the FIRST park entrance (where the batting cages are) at the end of the parking lot near #7 basket and #8 tee areas.

PLEASE DO NOT move the ropes or barricades that block the dirt road by the lake.

There is PLENTY of parking in the parking lot at Tournament Central.

The Douglasville County Park Liason(MGR) Hope will be on hand to hand out something for ALL event participants.
Please say hello and be sure to thank her for all the nice things she has done for Disc Golf at Deerlick.

There should be (confirmation later this week) someone from Subway to take your lunch orders when you check in Sat morning so that your lunch will be waiting for you when you finish round 1.

The awards ceremony will be held in the main building on the other side of the pond after round 2 just a short walk from Tournament Central.

More Info as it happens and I'll see everyone in 4 &1/2 days from now.

Thanks for the accolades Scott. I did most of the work and appreciate you noticing. Lovegrove showed up after all of the work was done and wanted to go drinking. Wade, as usual, stood around and told everyone what to do. DD would do a little work, then stand around and talk about how we could improve the course while I was moving heavy debris off of the fairway. I guess they all helped a little.

There is no wait list.

The deadline has come and gone for withdrawls and no one has said they wouldn't be there.
There is a person who works for the Douglas County Parks Dept. that has first dibs on a spot, as they are sponsoring the event and giving goodies to the players, but you are welcome to show up if you like.
You never know (but for sure I won't be giving my spot away like at Athens), someone may not show up.

Scores are up and remember the ratings for the second round will be corrected when the results are official, to take weather into account.

http://www.pdga.com/schedule/event.php?TournID=7362

Thanks to everyone who toughed it out.

Got home after 10pm and spent some time with the family until they fell asleep.

More later, as I have been up for 22 hours and I'm gonna get some sleep.

Yes, it is an online only voucher. The code would have been given to you when you registered online for the tournament.

I'll post the final totals when I fill out the PDGA paperwork, like I did for Event #1.

Over 200% payout to both am and pros for this Event as was the last one.

Your also leaving out the 700+ dollars in merchandise the ams got BESIDES their posted payout.

I have nothing to hide and post everything BEFORE and AFTER each Event I run.

I give EVERYONE a players package voucher.

Do you have a real question or are you just a stats nut?

The course looked beautiful! I had a lot of fun until the lightning came but what can you do. Great job Keith and family and everyone that helped with the tournament and the course maintenance.

Thanks to Hope for the great banner, the FREE towels to EVERY player, as well as having the sub company Lenny's set up to handle lunches for the players that wished to have them.

I also want to give thanks to Hope and her staff from the Parks Dept. for their generous help with the awards ceremony change to the Gym to accomadate us when we finished after the lightning delays. The Basketball players were gracious and well mannered while we took over their gym for 45 minutes.

Thanks also to the 3 nice guys who filled and put out the water before the start of the event.

Congrats to Georgia's Team member Matt Dollar for the new course record of 47 and the victory over a pretty good field of golfers in perfect sunny weather. (for the first round )

Congrats to Scott Beutjer for winning a set of discs by knowing Lorelei's PDGA #, and to Greg Campbell for winning the merchandise drawing for the basket raffle.
Greg needs to start a college fund for Lorelei, with all the merch he's sold that Lorelei has drawn his winning #'s for since moving here.

Thanks to all who braved the second round and all who made out like bandits again.

Stats posted above, TD report and check sent to the PDGA, and now it's time to get ready for Fayetteville!

Thanks again to all the players who make the GSSS great!
