Central Park needs you

Postby noputtinsavage » Mon Feb 25, 2008 3:00 pm

I'm in need of some volunteers to do some tee pad work sometime in early to mid March. It will involve building some small walls and leveling tee pads. I'm working on a loader for the heavy stuff, but will need some man power for the details stuff.

Please let me know via this thread if you can help out?

This event is a showcase for what Atlanta has to offer, step up and let's make it happen.

If people would like to donate concrete, I'm sure we could get some tee pads approved and installed at the same time?

I will help! Also get with Terry because he was waiting for a set date from Rand for a work day at C.P.

Just let me know when as long as it doesn't conflict with Meeks or Deerlick. Thanks for taking charge, old man!

CP Work Day for AO

Postby Dale H » Tue Feb 26, 2008 4:38 pm

We should be able to have 4 or 5 of us from the CP Breakfast Club to assist and we bring our own power tools! Just post the date as soon as you can.

Honestly, it's Gomez's fault - he brought this normally high-brow DG community into the gutter...

did a search on The Shule... here's what came up.....

(wikepedia) spelling?? The Shule County (Chinese: 疏勒县; Pinyin: Shūlè xiàn; Uyghur: قەشقەر يېڭىشەھەر ناھىيىسى‎, Qeshqer Yéngisheher Nahiyisi, K̡əxk̡ər Yengixəh̡ər Nah̡iyisi) is a county situated in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and is under the administrative jurisdiction of the Kashgar Prefecture. It is located to the South of Kashgar City. In Ancient times, the Shule area was once the home to a Western Region oasis civilisation, the Shule Kingdom.

The residents during ancient times belonged to the Indo-European group and they spoke a Proto-Indo-European language in which by the 9th and 10 centuries, gradually evolved to become the language and technology of the present-day ethnic Uyghurs

I thought it came from "shul", because when you're in the shule, you're praying.

from www.m-w.com...

Main Entry: shul : synagogue
Pronunciation: \ˈshu̇l\
Function: noun
Etymology: Yiddish, school, synagogue, from Middle High German schuol school
Date: 1771

Now to get this topic back on track, Craig, I talked to Jason Dowling and he said he would make a couple of calls to the park and see what the hold up is with our work day and you getting to bring in whatever equipment you need. I'm ready to work so we can get CP in tip top shape for this huge event. Also I am going to donate some funds to help with the projects you want to work on!
