New Addition to Hole 16?

So is there a new addition to Hole 16 at Deer Lick? Looks like 5 foot piles of dirt right in the middle of the hole now.

If a player can throw over 350 ft, the dirt hills will probably not be a risk factor and more than likely will not change the shot. The problem is that if you throw under 300 and want to lay up to the right, you you are setting yourself up for a shot that is over 250 feet farther away than the competition that can throw 350+, creating a disproportionate advantage for what would typically only be a 50 foot difference.
I figured I would speak out for the short arm players.

The dirt does do a good job of painting shoes and socks earth tones.

Smooth it out into a nice hill/mound, and throw out some grass seed. Make it a tricky part of the fairway and add an alternate short pin on the end.

Grease had this done to discourage rec players from trying to play intermediate in his tournament. He always plays favorites to pros and advanced...I hate him.

This is a recent addition to the hole. We'll have to figure something out for the PPIC.

Threw the hole twice this weekend. First time through I tried to get over the dirt piles and was about 20 feet short of the edge. Second shot taken from on top of the dirt pile and good footing couldn't be achieved without your foot sinking in about 4 inches. Even then my upshot was short and outside the circle. Second time I played a turnover to land about 80 feet shorter than my first time through but on solid ground to the right of the dirt. Second shot was within the circle.

Greg is preparing the king of all Tiger Traps for me at this years Event since he didn't hurt me there at the GSSS Event earlier this year.

Im sure in one of the piles you'll find a years supply of Pepsi on top of sharp spikes that pop up through the dirt when the weight of the Pepsi is removed.

Looks like that hole is "lacking" a landing area. Better move the tourney to White Oak so i can play?
