The city of Austell is holding a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2pm on Tuesday May 21st to open the Frog Rock disc golf course. Everyone is invited, and attendees will receive free custom stamped discs.

The course is 9-holes with dual teepads (blue and red). Phase 2 will expand the course to 18 holes, either in 2013 or 2014. Regular weekly action will be coming to this course very soon.

Baskets are installed. Picnic tables, flowers, grass is cut. Looking nice.

Probably can't find it as it is not in alphabetical order......

Hopefully there will be pictures of the grand opening that happened a few hours ago - everyone is probably still playing right now.

For you Keith - Image

This was very well attended with at least 100 people there, including about 30 disc golfers. There were almost 30 minutes of speakers, then a formal ribbon cutting, then people hung around and played. The baskets look awesome - they are new Mach III's. They've finished the practice area and the only thing left is to add a pavilion and bathroom. The city of Austell is very receptive to disc golf and will be maintaining this course to look really nice. The amount of work they have done in the past month is incredible. If you go, take bug spray -- the mosquitos are intense -- hopefully they spray soon. Plays very fast (under 1 hour) since you never lose discs.

Some leagues will be starting up very soon at this course.

good form. nice follow thru for a underhand sidearm cut roller. for that shot the hole needs to be around 800 feet wide open turning slightly to the left
