Where is the Newest Disc Golf Course in the area?

Northwestern Middle School is the proud owner of 6 brand new Discatchers. They are going to be used by the middle school for the PE program (they have purchased 40 DX Sharks to use for the classes) and by Milton High School.

The course can be used by anyone when school activities (including student arrivals and dismissals) are not in session and on the weekends. PLEASE do not attempt to play during the school hours of 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday.

The holes range from 130 ft- 210 ft with elevation changes on all 6 holes.

Hole 1 tees from near the running track to an elevated basket on the hillside towards the school building.
Hole 2 tees from near the parking lot downhill to a basket on a ridge in the tree line.
Hole 3 tees from the opposite side of the tennis courts to a basket near the tree line throwing under the catwalk.
Hole 4 tees from near the sidewalk up and over the ridge to a basket under the large tree.
Hole 5 tees from near the corner of the tennis courts to a basket near the trees towards the road.
Hole 6 tees from near the sidewalk to a basket near the large Juniper trees next to the tennis court.

All tees are natural and marked with blue flags. The course is situated in the area to make it easy for the 2 PE teachers to watch the students from the tennis court area, and also allows for future expansion with 3 more holes on the middle school property and 9 more holes to go on the High School property.

The visibilty of the course to all the parents and students who drive by them every day will hopefully allow the sport to develop some new players.
Both schools will have info on Disc Golf for thier students as well as info on the Wills Park Course 4 miles away for those that wish to play more.

PLEASE respect the school and the course by keeping it neat and clean when you play.

Thanks and enjoy!

Hopefully the High School will also get a club formed with the Eagle Scout that worked on the first 6 concrete pads and challenge some other disc golfing high school students - like Brett's kids at his high school to some matches.

It's nice that they'll also get to say they have the first disc golf course on school property in GA.

Would there be restrictions on playing the course at night? I think it would be a neat place for a glow round with a few beginners. Seeing as the area is patrolled by cops would they stop it if this took place?

I honestly don't know as all they asked was no one to play during school hours or during school functions that use the DGC Area (like field days).

I will ask the new principal after school starts on the 15th - Lorelei will be going to Milton high School across the street.

I'll let you know when I get the answer.
