Easter Seals Classic - IDGC - April 28th PDGA C-Tier....BEER

Postby Ridesbrd » Thu Mar 29, 2012 9:46 am

The Easter seals classic is approaching quickly and will be a great charity event at the IDGC. The charity is guaranteeing $1000 payout to Open men and women how that will be split i'm not really sure yet. They also are getting some great prizes donated for the AM field, like flat screen TV's, blu ray players, Ipods, tablet, and gift certificates.

The PDGA C-Tier is a Pro/AM event with only 4 divisions, Pro men, women, Advanced men, and Advanced women. We will also be hosting a one round Team tournament, 4 person teams scramble format. This round will start at 11am and entry will include a basic skills clinic by Jason Allind at 10:15 am.

The event entry will include two hearty meals, and a players pack with a disc and t-shirt.

The IDGC has gotten approval and permits to allow a BEER TRUCK at this event, this will be a trial run but beer will be served at a nominal fee in which all proceeds go to Easter Seals. Obviously drinking alcohol will not be allowed during the C-Tier event rounds, but is acceptable in between and after. The team portion of the event is unsanctioned and we will have a cart girl serving beer during that round.

Is the C tier a 2 round event?
Which courses will be used for the C tier and the team event.

The info is on the event page, but the singles C Tier event is going to be played on Jim Warner and WR Jackson one round each. The Team event will be played on Steady Ed one round, the team event was created more for the corporations and people who don't play disc golf regularly to be involved. I'm not saying you can't start a team of awesome disc golfers and register as a team, but your competition and payout won't be very steep!

I've heard one of the meals will be Philly Cheese steaks so not sure about the pimento cheese, although i had one at the National yesterday and it was amazing as usual. Don't forget early registration ends on April 20th, after this date there will be a $10 late fee, this is to help our organizers prepare for the amount of players.
