lo-cash ping pong and disc golf "horse" competitions will be held (at Luke's and the course)

Look for Vertically Challenged to play a set on the course during the horse tournament.

Hey Luke, I would love to come play Monty Dubs again sometime, but you arent making it easy lol. In the month of Jan, there are 5 Saturdays and 5 sundays. Of those ten days, only 2 have pdga sanctioned events in GA. And of course, one of those dates is the 30th. I'm not asking you to change it or anything, I'm just pointing it out bc this is one of the only months where there isnt a tournry going on every weekend. Good luck with the Monty!

Sorry Dollar. I'd like to have you back to see the changes. I actually didn't pick this one by myself, but I probably would have picked the same date. Statewide the only conflict I saw was IDGC Icebowl, but I don't consider it too much of a conflict--I don't think we're stealing any golfers there.

We're having a work day on this Saturday, December 19.

If you can possibly come to help, there's plenty to be done at the Monty. We need a few simple bridges, we need to take down trees and remove them from the fairway of new #5. IF that gets done, we can work on 3 and old 5.

Anyone with Chainsaws would be greatly appreciated!

Let me know if you can show up, and if you want to come down on Friday, I'll grill the burgers.

Bring sleeves and gloves.

I recommend a change of clothes and some boots.

Bring your golf bag. I think I'll pull money from the course fund for us to play with.

Thanks to 9 folks who came down this weekend. The Monty has a new hole with elevation change and OB behind the basket.

Hole 3 has a new teepad 50+ feet behind the original one. Trees have been cleaned off the fairway, too.

Thank you Chris, Jon, Noah, Dave, Josh, James, Wade, Clunck for a great work weekend.

THIS IS THE LONGEST LAYOUT WE'VE EVER HAD!

note: If you come to play the Monty before the tournament, these distances will not be completely correct. Currently, 13 is the short woodpile hole. We've combined a short teepad on that hole with the next basket for the tournament; however, for now, the basket remains next to the woodpile, making the hole very short and pretty easy. Also, the current layout does not include the Trailer Trash hole. It is #15 below.

fyi

I cut the path yesterday from 5 to 6. It goes right across what will be the 6 teepad. Wow. I get excited looking at that monster hole waiting to be, 400 plus, downhill, right turn, creek ob on right for the last 120 feet.

Also, the following holes are correctly numbered for the tournament. Please note that if you play the course now, tee signs do not have the correct footage.

HOLES 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,7, 8=====13, 14, 17, 18.

What an awesome weekend! The course is one of the best wooded courses in the state (and probably the most valid.) I cant believe we never had to open an umbrella. And thank you Luke for being such a generous host. And to everyone that missed the B.O.D. (Breakfast Of Destiny,) better luck next time!
