This years tourney will be 24 holes for both rounds, but it will be limited to 96 players.
Foursomes only. Flyers will be available at our Ice Bowl on the 31st. The flyer should be posted on the Toccoa website shortly thereafter. I will try to get one posted on the Atlanta site ASAP. Round #1 will be the original yellow course. Round #2 will be the long course. All players will play the same format. Look here for further info. See you all soon - John

It means he is limiting the number of people that can enter so you aren't playing in fivesomes

24(holes) x 4(people per hole) = 96(limit of field)

I wish I could make this one, I hear it is a good time.

Usually not for the Toccoa tournaments - you gotta use the snail mail. John runs a first-class event though - usually runs very smootly.

Hey, John --

I hate that I have to work the day of the Pro-Am, but my Pro-Am play usually makes up my worst tournament rounds of the year, so maybe it will indirectly help my rating.

I hope it goes well and people start signing up! My sponsorship is on the way...

Take care,

We are now at 70 players with the addition of Phil Arthur to the Pro division. I will not be at a computer tomorrow after 10am. I will be at the course getting it ready. If you are wanting a spot my best advice would be to get here early on Saturday. We will open the registration and check-in at 8am.We are taking 96 players, so we have 26 spots open yet. If you want to register on Friday, I will be there until about 3 or 4. Also, don't forget Seneca has a Sunday "C" tier. Seneca is about a half hour from Toccoa. Nice drive. Take care and we'll see you soon - John

James Cole wins Pro Open over Hammock and Phil
Mel Shuman wins Pro Masters over Woody and myself
Aaaron Dean won ADV over the usual suspects
Bob Johnson SMOKED the ADV Masters field winning by 16
Griffin Johnson won Juniors over 2 others
I can't remember who won INT and REC

I'm sure since John has no access to computers at home, that we won't see the scores until sometime on Monday.

Good turnout (95) and excellent weather, it's a always a good time in Toccoa.

John-
Great tourney. You are the most accomodating TD ever! We managed to raise another 66$ for the JW fund(which goes towards the Free BBQ on May 29th after the doubles on Friday night at the Hall of Fame Classic). We are now at $390 raised. make sure you plan on a 3 day weekend if you are going to the hall of fame so you can cash in on the free grub on Friday Night!
I really enjoyed playing with all the Advanced Masters players. Mark Dammes was on fire in the first round!I will move back up to Pro Masters once I find my putter. I think I had 23 Dots.
Congrats to Bob J. on his landslide victory in our division and to all the other trophy winners as well.
Great Weather- Terrific Food from Brother John's Subs- Impressive help staff !!!!
Thanks again for Everything Nisewonders!!!

Richard Mc Graw took the Intermediate and Lee Minehart won the Rec. in a playoff. The aces were on #13 in the first round by Andrew Rudick and on his last shot of round 2, Ray Price aced #7.

Hole # 7 now has recorded the most tourney aces at all Toccoa PDGA events. Mike Dammes was the first to hit it. Jordan Nelson got it last year and Ray this year. It was also hit on a Friday night doubles event by William Deese. Go figure. I got to see 3 of them. I just missed Jordan's as I left before he threw. #19 has also recorded 3 tourney aces, but in different placements.

Unreal... 429ft of a downhill shot for an ace.... and then multiple of them.... Whoever hit the aces on 19 must of been on fire. That hole has given me nightmares the last two nights! (says the guy who tossed a circle 5 on it after hitting every tree in the short 169 feet to the short pin.)

The juniors second round I don't believe gets a rating because they played short tees and not enough people played from those tees for it get a rating (I think - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong).

Thanks again John and the entire Toccoa gang - you guys always do a great job!
Enjoyed playing with Gator, Stuart, Bob, John, Greg & Rick - I had a blast.
Hope to see everyone again in August. (27 holes? - where?)

Correct. The second round had no propagators for the layout the juniors used.
